  1. I'm saying it's all to combat crime. This ain't nonsense, this is a life and death situation.
  2. This is the new normal, supply delays which results in service delays one way or another.
  3. Hence why people are leaving NY in droves. However, I have noticed in other cities that alot of transit systems are experimenting with free bus service and reduced railfare. If the farebeating continues, then the MTA will need to consider getting rid of farebox revenue and possibly seek other streams of funding.
  4. They won't stfu until the electric buses fully takeover by 2040. They have a long time to "suffer". The should be glad that all the street exhaust, 2 stroke engine powered RTS's and MCI Classics specifically in their case retired years ago!
  5. I fully agree 100% with you. These people are a cancer virus.
  6. It's really strange that the MTA is only starting to do this now rather then say about 20 years ago back when the Department of Homeland Security was created, not to mention the TSA and their metal detectors at airports. What, not are we going to have to remove out shoes when entering a station? Give me a break!
  7. It's like I said though, none of that will happen until the right people are installed into power. You don't want trendy liberals running everything.
  8. Really sad to see them go like this. They did had a good run and hopefully, more can be retained for Work service.
  9. Last I checked, the MTA is too broke to afford a paper bag without a government bailout. This mayor is all talk and no action (except for those damn mandates)...
  10. I keep seeing the same units being delivered over and over again. People need to stop reposting the same delivery moves.
  11. Well how do exactly expect things to get done and everyone to be on the same page without questions being raised? Don't be absurd, that's not how things work.
  12. I've said this before though never on here so I'll add my two cents: The situation going on in the subways as well as the city in general are all largely due to the 2020 George Floyd riots that was never properly addressed. If the police in this city had PROPER leadership like they used to, things wouldn't be spiraling out of control or atleast not to the same extent that they are now. This is truly despicable and the only way to stop this is to perhaps consider transit issued firearms and have the MTA Police train all Train and Bus operators as well as other MTA employees how to use them. This will let people know who's in charge and hold these punks accountable to their criminal actions. Guns, Brass knuckles, and other assault weapons should be legalized all across the city.
  13. Let's not forget about the platform barriers as well given all the recent deaths and assaults.
  14. Megas XLR, Transformers: Cybertron, Teen Titans (2003), Justice League/Unlimited, Static Shock, Total Drama Island, Ben 10 Alien Force, Naruto.
  15. Somebody else also brought 1998 Novabus RTS 06 #4901 back in Summer 2019 right after they retired from service.
  16. Manhattan as well, via the hybrids. It seems that the MTA is giving the LFS's the Orion 5 treatment because if you noticed over the years, the LFS's are mostly taken over former Orion 5 territories. Areas that once was mostly Orion Vs are now LFS's of some kind (sometimes LFSAs too, although those replaced many of the earlier New Flyer D60HFs).
  17. Speaking of that, is the MTA planning to do anything with Castleton Depot in terms of flood protection? IIRC this is not the first time they got hit with flood damage (see Super Storm Sandy from late 2012). If they aren't, they need to consider possibly replacing it with a another Depot somewhere else on the Island within the next few years. I'd argue the same with other depots elsewhere like Far Rockaway which was damaged during Hurricane Sandy , possibly Ulmer Park, Flatbush, and others in the long run.
  18. Always got confused by that too, Glad I'm not alone in that.
  19. No, I was confused since he first said #3912, #3823, and then #3940. I was thinking he might have meant #3923 in between, or #3823, then #3912, and #3940. At any rate, does anyone know when the batteries expire on these buses? Hybrids aren't as cut and dry as CNG buses when they retire.
  20. Anyway, is 2015 New Flyer XN40 CNG #1897 a write-off?
