Railfaner100 0 #7 Posted July 24, 2009 Are all of the R160Bs from the second option order going to be assigned to the Jamaica yard for and service or just only half of them?
MTR Admiralty 4 #8 Posted July 24, 2009 Are all of the R160Bs from the second option order going to be assigned to the Jamaica yard for and service or just only half of them? It depends, from some reports, they say half of them will go to CIY in exchange for 60 cars from the first order. I believe you asked this question already. LandoftheLost 0 #9 Posted July 24, 2009 that mean R160B #9803 - # 9817? ( 15 cars) have been delivered to 207 street overhaul shop. just 125 cars R160B yet to be still delivered. ( #9818 - #9942)

MTR Admiralty 4 #11 Posted July 24, 2009 Anyone know which propulsion system they will use? Probably Alstom. But to be honest, does it really matter that much what traction motor they will use?

Railfaner100 0 #16 Posted July 25, 2009 Why can't the jamaica yard get R160B siemens sets for the and ?
R32 3348 10 #17 Posted July 25, 2009 Jamaica is probably getting all of the R160Bs in the second option order. Half of them will have Siemens and half of them will have Alstom (source - Alstom press release about Option II. I will link to you if you want). I think the first half have Alstom but I could and may be wrong. We just have to wait and see.
R44 5278 0 #18 Posted July 25, 2009 why cant there be a siemens set on the or ? Ease of operation/uniformity is a priority over variety.
