Nooo inverted trains as in...the track on top and the train move. Of course its your typical car...same seats and such...just the motors are on top and the rails are up top.

or how about something like this: http://mrwilliamsburg.files.wordpress.com/2009/07/bigbadwoldbuschgardens.jpg. Rollercoaster hanging below the tracks and the cars swinging below it. Edited by Grand Concourse

Between a suspended train and a train that sticks to its rail by force of gravity, which do you think is more practical? In an emergency, which is easier to walk passengers out of? (These are rhetorical questions, by the way. The answers should be obvious.)

Good to see some good news surfacing in the newspapers for once:

SEE IT: Brooklyn teacher goes viral with crazy breakdancing skills

The video of Michael Satira of Bishop Ford High School in Windsor Terrace has quickly gone viral. Satira, who also works as an entertainer, said he showed off his dancing skills to better relate to the children.

This Brooklyn teacher took his students to school on how to break it down.

Michael (Mikey) Satira, Bishop Ford Central Catholic High School’s director of student activities, has become the latest Internet sensation after a student captured him on tape executing a perfect windmill spin on the school’s cafeteria floor.

An unknown student filmed Satira, 41, who also works part-time as a DJ and entertainer, breakdancing in the lunchroom of the Windsor Terrace school during eighth period last Wednesday while students in the background are wildly cheering for the educator.

“Evidentally its pretty unqiue for a guy like me in a shirt and tie to be busting windmills in the cafeteria with students going nuts,” Satira told The Daily News.

The 15-second clip has picked up speed faster than Satira’s slick spinning — the clip has racked up more than 182,000 views since it was uploaded on Friday.

Satira, a Brooklyn native, said he has been immersed in the urban dance form from a young age. He used to tote a boombox around with him, constantly searching for a piece of cardboard that he convert into a makeshift dance floor.

LOL what a rant.....

Windows 7 is the best rated #1 among us techs. Win 8 is crap its 2013/14's version of Windows Vista really. Win 7 is the new Win XP for IT professionals who deal with networks powered on MS Exchange for outlook, or Server 2003/2008 for general LAN administration and helpdesk or computer specialist support.

Very good for overall image deployment and setting permission controls the CP and computer management options are easy to use, works great with business end 3rd party apps.

Win 8 was a disaster, I mean many business owners will not upgrade to Win 8 as it will not work well with current desktop configurations that exists in the offices today. Win 8 was a ploy to push consumer end tablets, really stupid marketing move.

We recently incorporated 8.1 on most of the floors, it's not that bad.

Wow. Win 8.1 , thats pretty early for an all out upgrade, caught me by suprise with that one. Seems like your employer is investing heavily into computer software and hardware for their business needs, without hesitation and willing to fork out the bucks to the IT Department for it. So no problems were encountered initially with the upgrades that the admins specialists, and techs including yourself had to work out with the image deployment ?  Is it working well with the 3rd party software apps used? And how is it going with the NOS's powering the servers in regards to the step up from Windows 7 ?  Asking to add to my knowledge.

I've was told by another tech recently that he did a 2 week stint that did involve an upgrade to Win 8.1 from Win 7 and in some cases Win XP (Yeah believe it or not, cheap clients out there I know) but what happened was that the Oracle based applications for bookkeeping applications (That the software engineer dept deal with) locked up in some instances and that they are still working out bugs. It seems they are finding some success. It could be incompatibility problems that are to be expected with OS upgrades, also the fact that clients may need training to understand how the OS works and the differences between Win 8.1 and Win 7 professional.

*Oh yeah another problem occured with new device drivers needed to be installed for 8.1 to work on workstations and laptop docking stations, as what drivers for components that previously worked with Win 7 were not working properly with Win 8.1 or with applications where messages would appear prompting the user that the application needs to run on Windows XP or later, which was odd because Win 8.1 is 'later'. But that was being worked on, in that case, at least to me, a minor issue, just update the drivers, run Microsoft patches, and rewrite scripts.

The way I see it, Windows on PC is eventually going to lose to Android and mobile. It's evident in market share and the time people spend interacting with each. Far more people are on phones and tablets than on PCs now, and the price of either can't be beat by a desktop. Android won't be beat in the tablet space, because it's simply so easy to adopt by any manufacturer willing to make their own device and it has thousands of tablet-ready applications to boot.
