Fan Railer Posted April 6, 2017 Share #3626 Posted April 6, 2017 Why do the Silk Road trucks get to run red lights? Sent from my iPhone using NYC Transit Forums mobile app Wide loads turning through intersections with escort cars are subject to different rules. If they are not turning, they still have to obey the signal lights.

Wow, that is interesting as NTT don't brake too good in the rain from what I heard. I wonder if that set being out today has anything to do with that, seeing if its possible to improve the braking performance on NTT on slick rails.
biGC323232 Posted April 6, 2017 Share #3633 Posted April 6, 2017 As of late, when the 10-car train is out, they usually conclude testing around 4pm. No guarantees though. Thanks for the info
Fan Railer Posted April 6, 2017 Share #3634 Posted April 6, 2017 Correction, it's just 3010-3014 today. Not one of the 4-car sets.

Unless they moved 3050-3053 to 207 for whatever reason...Eventually they will be moving the 8-car trains to 207 St. & East New York Yards once the next 4-car train (3062-3065) is delivered; after testing at the Rockaway flats is completed. m2fwannabe Posted April 24, 2017 Share #3648 Posted April 24, 2017 R-179 Test train on the Brighton Express this past Saturday? Saw personnel and an R-160 train (10 cars) hanging around but "the star" (R-179) was not there as heavy rain began. Any idea what transpired?
