GojiMet86 Posted May 30, 2013 Share #3052 Posted May 30, 2013 There was an R68A schoolcar on the Fulton line today. Caught it at High Street waiting for the Nostalgia train.
MHV9218 Posted May 30, 2013 Share #3053 Posted May 30, 2013 Dumb luck today that the A that pulled in at 145th today was the Arnine special, completely forgot it was running. Excellent ride.
itmaybeokay Posted May 30, 2013 Share #3054 Posted May 30, 2013 Dumb luck today that the A that pulled in at 145th today was the Arnine special, completely forgot it was running. Excellent ride. Did it make a second run back downtown after heading to 168 from the Rockaways? I mean, I guess they'd have to get it to either CIY or the musueum eventually.

I mean, I guess they'd have to get it to either CIY or the musueum eventually. Well, I was on the next A on my way to 207th afterwards, but I would assume it eventually went back down? That train pulled into 168th northbound at around 2:10, which sounds like it was the first public run from the Rockaways finishing the trip after a few delays. I can't imagine that was the second trip; just not enough time. I see it as Rockaways-employee only, one run to 168th, and maybe one run back downtown.

I took it a little.Itwas a public run.I only took it 2 stops since it came late and was hot.I would think that the 10:30 out of Howard beach ended up being public also. CDTA Posted May 31, 2013 Share #3071 Posted May 31, 2013 A bit OT, but regarding Dyckman: I had a friend who lived off of that stop who told me that before the renovation, he stepped on the platform strip, and it crumbled underneath him. Why is every liquid in that station yellow? I remember the stalagmites (or whichever one comes from the ceiling) there were yellow, and when the station got flooded, all the water was yellow.

CDTA Posted May 31, 2013 Share #3073 Posted May 31, 2013 Might be stuff in the water. Yeah, but what could possibly cause this that's not lethal?
mtattrain Posted May 31, 2013 Share #3074 Posted May 31, 2013 Yeah, but what could possibly cause this that's not lethal? It's probably chemicals from the streets mixing with the water... cars spilling oil and all that.
Snowblock Posted May 31, 2013 Share #3075 Posted May 31, 2013 after the R9 got to 168 St, it went into 207 yard. There was no second trip. It'll probably be returned to the museum over the weekend.
