Nice shots.

Awesome Transit Photography and Vids as usual !

Question: Are those 1000 series D60HFs going to be renumed back to their original fleet numbers or they next to be retired ?

S.FL.T.

The 1000 and 4800 D60s are being retired this/next year, and will die in those numbers due to the newer artics taking their old numbers.

Why do some of the M15 buses have just the number in that weird bluish color while other have the entire screen background in that bluish color?

All of them have the same program. It depends on the reading (select bus is entirely blue).

Fantastic Shots man!

Nice shots. Ha, guess I'm not the only one who got the f**k out of NYC and went to the emerald city.

I would enjoy the Emerald City more if it had some bloody culture....UGH!!

It's for folks to tell the difference as to what's a local to a select.

That wasn't my question. I was referring solely to SBS buses.  For example, I've seen M15 SBS buses with just the M15 in that bluish color while the rest of the sign is normal, but whenever it says SELECT BUS SERVICE that along with the M15 is all in that  bluish color.

And that's exactly the answer I gave you......it's for folks to tell the difference. The route sign says blue, "SOUTH FERRY" "VIA 2ND AVE" destination stays orange for folks to read, Select Bus acts as a blinker for folks to get the message. Having it all stay in blue would make it hard for folks to read depending on the time of day and the scenario.

The whole thing is weird... In all honesty when the sign is in that blue color it's hard on the eyes... Has the complete opposite affect of helping people know it's an SBS bus... Smh

That's not what I've heard other passengers and bus operators say....
