Wow, someone should tell NJT that it is important to care about whether bus stops are safe, and you shouldn't have stops on the shoulder of highways LOL

Although Bee-Line does not have too many of these (at least in southern Westchester), ones like this are just plain absurd.

Pick your poison: risk getting hit by some idiot driver, or potentially tumbling down onto the NYS Thruway.

Going back on-topic: This should have been the case beforehand for all Q10 trips, especially since short-turns already make (one of the) proposed stops and run along that path as well.

Shows how little thought is given to some stops. Didn't even occur to the people installing it to tell the higher-ups that there's a metal barrier in the way. I can understand ingnorance on the part of management or planning, if they are just looking at a map, but the buck has to stop somewhere.

My personal favorite is the one at route 9a/route 117 on the BL-14

Streetsblog has a contest every year or so to twitter nominate a worst bus stop bracket, this was last years winner:

Y'all should submit, the NY metro area could use some naming and shaming.

AW HELL NAH!

As for the OP, I would also argue that 149/150 Avenue should be made a one-way westbound only as well. (The existing affected business, Do & Co, would have a negligible issue.)

This issue deserves its own thread...brought to you by the words Whiskey, Tango, and Foxtrot!

It was always a problem for the buses to make the right onto 134th from 149 so this change is an improvement. Making that right off the S Conduit is so much easier now. Far as an unsafe stop the crosswalks are right there and during school hours 2 crossing guards are at that location for the children.
