QM1to6Ave Posted June 21, 2019 Share #2 Posted June 21, 2019 Wow, someone should tell NJT that it is important to care about whether bus stops are safe, and you shouldn't have stops on the shoulder of highways LOL
B35 via Church Posted June 21, 2019 Share #3 Posted June 21, 2019 Yeah, I got "snowed" (guess that would be the snow equivalent of splashed) at that very stop a loooong time ago by a sanitation truck.... At one point & time, said bus stop was unmarked too..... No complaints from my end, regarding this change.....

Pick your poison: risk getting hit by some idiot driver, or potentially tumbling down onto the NYS Thruway. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Going back on-topic: This should have been the case beforehand for all Q10 trips, especially since short-turns already make (one of the) proposed stops and run along that path as well. Didn't even occur to the people installing it to tell the higher-ups that there's a metal barrier in the way. I can understand ingnorance on the part of management or planning, if they are just looking at a map, but the buck has to stop somewhere.

As for the OP, I would also argue that 149/150 Avenue should be made a one-way westbound only as well. (The existing affected business, Do & Co, would have a negligible issue.) Rafa Posted July 21, 2019 Share #10 Posted July 21, 2019 It was always a problem for the buses to make the right onto 134th from 149 so this change is an improvement. Making that right off the S Conduit is so much easier now. Far as an unsafe stop the crosswalks are right there and during school hours 2 crossing guards are at that location for the children.
