  1. I usually don't care about sitting around taking pics at most spots in the city, hell I've done it in front of the NYPD plenty of times. I guess it's just the wonderful PA at work as usual.
  2. Went over to LaGuardia today, and got stopped by a Port Authority cop. To my surprise he actually didn't tell me to stop taking pictures, which is typical PAPD. Apparently I was "making people nervous", though I didn't see anyone report me to the cop who was standing nearby. At least the guy was nice... Just warning anyone planning on busfanning at LGA, my advice: don't stay too long and don't take pictures if you see the PAPD nearby.
  3. Got stopped by the good old PAPD today for taking pics at LaGuardia, he actually didn't tell me to stop which was a shock to me.

  4. Say what? I was just by Route 9 and didn't notice any buses with the depot stickers...
  5. Probably the "transit on patrol" sticker, like SirJokaPlaya said only 8202 has it and I've never seen that bus in person.
  6. Perhaps, and that order could very well partially or completely go to New Flyer for XD60s, they held up the order a year so they can evaluate the XD60.
  7. Go Romney. That is all.

Romney hell yeah! Threxxyboy, If you want a job when you get older, choose Romney!

  8. When I was on the 3 to South Ferry the other day, it didn't look like anyone in my car realized the train wasn't going to Brooklyn until right after the doors closed at Chambers.
  9. Jesus, go easy on Piney. Westchester also doesn't hire a multinational conglomerate to operate its buses, they hire a company based IN the county that provides service ONLY in that county, which is very smart since it helps their local economy and Liberty Lines provides damn good service and keeps their buses sparkly clean. I don't see their system being what it is now if Liberty was replaced with a major corporation like Veolia or MV. Mangano should have looked into some local companies, even local school bus companies like ST uses, but he only considered MV, First, and Veolia, the big conglomerates that never knew Nassau County until the privatization bid was put out.
  10. Yesterday I had a choice of watching my candidate lose (from what I heard, didn't watch too much of it) or the Yanks lose, and I chose to watch the Yanks lose for most of last night. Very scared for our country right now...

Yes, Romney did lose the second debate. Obama was firm, assertive, and on the attack rather than quiet and on the defense. Romney, while confident, got called out by Obama for formerly running a company that's now outsourcing to China and was later fact-checked by the moderator regarding Obama calling the Benghazi attack "acts of terror."

And, yes, Obama talked about Romney's "47%" comment at the very end of the debate and called him out for it. Extremely clever move.

  11. Dammit, I deleted a few NICE Bus pics/videos I took with my iPhone 5 right after I got it. Oh well, at least most of my NICE pics and videos that day were taken on my DSLR and are safe.

  12. I think it's a bit annoying, I mean they just announce stops so frequently.
  13. I just realized today that the Clever Devices on NICE, at least on the N35, will announce most stops when they only announced major stops under the MTA.
  14. Went to Roosevelt Field, got my iPhone 5, some NICE rides, and a LIRR ride. And I already love this phone.

      Brighton Express

The design is just amazing. Best phone I have ever had.

  15. Managed to reserve my iPhone 5 for pickup for tomorrow at Roosevelt Field.

  16. NICE new look there, though I like it better when they keep the MTA stickers on the back.
  17. I think I'll be over there for that, I'm real interested to see what buses go out on that shuttle.
  18. So I go to the Staten Island Mall Apple Store hoping to come out with an iPhone 5, and they're sold out. Apparently they have a line out the door of about 50 people every morning when the mall opens, so to guarantee you get it you have to sit in the line or order online with store pickup the day before. Damn I want my iPhone already!

Nah I'm picking it up during the week, just gotta pre-order or if I really feel like it sit in line.

  19. I've never realized how fun rush hour in lower Manhattan can be until today, as far as busfanning goes. All the buses you can handle from all over the region, and no PAPD to tell you to stop taking pics unlike at the PABT

  20. Getting my iPhone 5 tomorrow or Sunday! Can't wait!

I've been a Mac user for a while now, I just opted for an Android last year because of the 4S' lack of 4G speeds.

  21. I'm interested to see what happens here with their plans... Me personally, I'm fine with my Sprint service.
  22. May 13th is a Monday, but I think I'm gonna play hookey that day if the R188 is truly running.

there's a keyfood on 92nd and 2nd av where i used to live. Nothing 'fancy', but had most of the stuff I'd need. I always thought of it like a 'small' pathmark.

lol... Key Food has always been overpriced with mediocre quality... Really amazing how they've been able to get away with it for so many years too.
