Quite frankly I never gave it though... A cab ride isn't that expensive. I took two cab rides yesterday totaling $30.00 w/tip. Quite reasonable.

A good majoirty of those taxi companies are a rip-off. I would rather opt for the bus (besides, I'm not in a hurry most of the time).

They don't have CNG fueling areas though.

I was looking forward to the 3G CNGs for MTA Bus. I feel that everyone thinks the LFS looks cheap because it looks like an old school Buick as opposed to something newer, something that goes with the times. That's a good and a bad thing. While the design looks "old" and remained the same, it just proves says that Nova put out a solid, proven product. As for RTS v. LFS, RTS all day, lol.

If they've managed to keep those Neoplans going, they'd be able to get a minimum 15 years of use out of Xcelsiors -- wise investment. If they could get a sweet deal on MTA Flyer highfloor artics, it could be a good deal for around 5 years of use. Work a deal with New Flyer (overhaul/refurb) with purchase commitment, they'd be more than willing to talk.

Regardless of the weather whenever I ride the ferry, I don't sit inside... For the same reason VG8 mentioned (wanting/needing fresh air)...

That, and I don't like that popcorn/cheesy feet smell either.

I have never rode the SI Ferry.. I guess I haven't lived yet.

On the Ferry, I ALWAYS ride outside, sooo much better.....
