  1. Honestly, just forget it. You do your own thing. I'm to old for this bickering.
  2. See, and this is exactly what I meant about you getting the wrong people in trouble. At least do your research before you slander someone's name with accusations like that, which me and MULTIPLE other people have told you to stop doing.
  3. What are they doing? This whole hiring process is a mess. They're calling off the recent two exams PLUS the upcoming one this summer? There has to be a better way to hire people, because this is completely counter-productive...
  4. Some of these dispatches are cold hearted, I don't blame him for one, but driving through a flood? After that entire Staten Island bus flood fiasco, they sent out a memo to NOT do that.
  5. Perhaps my memory is foggy (I haven't been to Forest Park in a LONG time), my apologies. Taking a look at Google Maps, you are correct the apartment building is on the side of the ROW, I don't know why I thought it was directly in front (probably confusing it for the apartment building in front of the NYWB leads at 180th St). The baseball field however does look like it takes up both trackways to the front, as well as the spur to the adjacent LIRR tracks. That school bus parking lot is the major issue. It has taken up the entire ROW including a part of the old stations SB platform. Now I'm not sure if the city filled in the connection to the Atlantic Branch, or if Logan Bus took it upon themselves to do it, but it'd be costly to get that connection back. On the north end of the line, there's also the Athletic Association that has seemed to take up one trackway on the former ROW. Another issue, how is the connection to QBL suppose to happen? You can tunnel under the LIRR tracks, but then you have all these houses in-between there and Queens Blvd.
  6. Where are you seeing that? If you go to the north end of Forest Park its literally right in front of the ROW.
  7. Did they also send you an email or was it just a callback?
  8. That seems odd. Whats that suppose to be for?
  9. Nope, but we still have a month and a half left. I believe the last exam is nearing the end of the hiring list, but this is , so we'll never know until it happens.
  10. That school bus parking lot & new apartment building in Forest Park & new baseball field & Home Depot that are perm built on the ROW say otherwise. How do you expect the city to do that and not get backlash. And your third point, if you add service to one QBL local line, the other has to be reduced to allow it or you'll have trains all over the dam place. Queens Blvd is scheduled the way it is just so trains don't end up blocking one another. And another point, each Queens Blvd line is fed into a mainline in Manhattan which shares tracks with another line running with it. You can't add 10 TPH to the and expect the and to continue functioning the way they do, it would throw the entire southern Broadway Line & 6th AV line off schedule. This also directly affects the since the now has reduced headways which screw up the departures on 8th Av. Unless you de-interline Queens Blvd Local completely, it will always be a problem.
  11. So now there's a new issue where if an eagle team asks you to tap your payment, it won't register on their device and they'll give you a $100 ticket even though you did pay.
  12. I'm waiting for the daily news to come out with another story about how the MTA is using their "old smelly Diesel buses" (0010) to do metrocard sales lmao.
  13. While on the topic of the M60, are there unscheduled extra short turn trips that we don't know about? For the past month or so I always see an M60 signed up to 2 Av or 31st St while driving home from work.
  14. That'd be a waste IMO. Unless you expect LIRR to re-convert the entire RBB back to Railroad specifications, it's a waste of money.
  15. The price was inflated because they were trying to build a new elevated structure over the existing ROW instead of just using the ROW. and the city can use "eminent domain" I think it's called to take back any part of the ROW that was illegally obtained by homeowners and businesses. The only issue is whats going to serve the new line. You can't use the or because one will have to reduce TPH in order to allow the other to increase, which also affects the and .
  16. It's the same thing in the rail division when it comes to Public Info Systems. Stuff stays broken for at least half a year before it's actually fixed. Albany needs to tell to create a new department SOLELY for Public Info Systems for both rail and bus. Watch how fast all these issues get fixed.
  17. What was the outcome? Did they ever change the rules, or did you ever try to do the QM22 again?
  18. The issue other then ridership is the corruption in the city politics, particularly DOT. They flat out refuse to give ANYONE authorization to run in the city, or make it extremely difficult to do so. There are so many other agencies that would be happy to contract out work, so why is the city so hell-bent on having everything be run by ? They say it was to Lower the subsides, but at what cost?? They absolutely ruined all the express lines they got. The Riverdale lines lost a ton of ridership after MTA got them simply because MTA dosent know and dosent care enough to run it properly. Then you got them sending cease and decist letters to private carries who want to save some of the lines they eliminated. It's ridiculous.
  19. What is with the city making it EXTREMELY difficult for ANY new charter company to try and do business in this city? I just had another close friend give up on running a bus in the city and moved his operations to Connecticut, where DOT there actually WANTS to contract out routes to private bus companies. Clearly the doesn't want to run the service, so why not let others do it? @Via Garibaldi 8 And @JAzumah I read about what happened with the QM22 just now, the city really tried to play you dirty. Please tell me you at least sued them.
  20. A number of things from the R211 mockup that we saw at 34th St are different then the actual thing. For one, none of the signs are LCD like they showed on the mockup. Whats with the reduced seating capacity? They changed the ADA spots from near the cabs to the middle of the car. Are these floor arrows really necessary? Again, the side windows. They could've come up with a better design. At this point they're gonna be like Apple removing the headphone jack from the iPhone... Are the LCD AD screens really necessary? SIR: While the design for the R211T hasn't come out yet, have they actually looked at some of the platform gaps on the railroad?
  21. Yes, but how do you know there's an accident if you don't see it? I know some of those streets in Metropolitan Av have no street lights.
  22. So there was a horrible sad story yesterday about how a woman was killed yesterday in Queens, a sedan hit her and it knocked her into a passing bus. The first driver fled the scene and so did the driver, but I don't think the MTA driver even knows what happened. Would this MTA driver be charged in a hit and run, even though they weren't the ones that caused it?
