Going by the car numbers, I see only M2's.

Stuff looks all the same on the NH line... :P I see what you mean now.

I think the Comet Cab 6217 train must have been coming from Old Saybrook (milepost 105 on the Shoreline route) to GCT, since it was in ConnDOT livery and unusually long
Two things to tell you:

1. Shore Line East does not go into Grand Central, so that can't have been coming from Old Saybrook

 

2. Metro-North doesn't call it's cars "Comets" they call them "Shoreliners".
