Grand Concourse Posted March 26, 2010 Share #11 Posted March 26, 2010 Station agents just makes it less likely of an attack. A cop is what is needed as they can do something. Station agents can only 'phone it in' and are not allowed to do anything.

S/A Vee Posted March 26, 2010 Share #18 Posted March 26, 2010 A lot of areas in the subway station are now manned by swippers. They will jam up the mvm machines and harass customers into buying a fare from them. I can't wait for tourist to visit NYC. And don't believe MTA management had no clue about this. They just don't care. How could you close down a booth and not even set up CCTV. I wish they would issue weapons to station agents.

Grand Concourse Posted March 26, 2010 Share #20 Posted March 26, 2010 It's sad they can't even have tasers to defend themselves. I'd tase the shit out of any thug if they threatened me. As for the swipers: put cop with threat of force and break up those wanna be gangsters.
S/A Vee Posted March 26, 2010 Share #21 Posted March 26, 2010 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA oh shit, thank you for that. I am serious. Think about some bridge and tunnel officers. They carry and sometimes have to collect tolls. This could be a new way to revamp the station agent title.
KTrainExp Posted March 27, 2010 Share #22 Posted March 27, 2010 It's not such a bad idea on paper. However, if on that certain bad day you piss off a station agent and he/she don't really like you, then you're kind of on your own. A taser is a good tool for workers. EE Broadway Local Posted March 27, 2010 Share #24 Posted March 27, 2010 "Dear, I'll be back shortly." "We've got bills to pay and things to buy and I'm going to go to the subway station and mug some one." "Yes, I'll do my best to come back with more than $2.00 this time!". This is just sick! If you've "got bills to pay and things to buy" you find a legitimate way. I hope someone pays this guy's "bill" - soon.
BJC Posted March 28, 2010 Share #25 Posted March 28, 2010 Bloomberg needs to get the **** out of office before he flushes the city into the toilet further.
