As I said, the day 8090' arrived: ENY's bus was sent to Zerega two days before Jamaica's hit service. And now we've got proof of exactly what I said. Question is, do we lose the first bus forever?

It's probably gonna go back to Nova...

I don't see them renumbering it to 8017 but then again this is the MTA so we will never know

3992, 3998, 4116, 4127 CS to QV.

6330 CS to ECH scrap.

No O5s in service today at CS.

6330 was the only Orion V in service today. It was on the Q32. I was hoping to get it but it short turned at 57th Street. I got word from another op that it was called in by dispatcher and was told to pull in....so they can tow it to EC Scrap.

Stand corrected -- no wonder there was no formal trip record! Reason I thought there were none out. Guess they really want those buses out, never heard of a short turn that drastic before.

Why do buses get towed to ECH instead of driven there?

Some of them need engine work and can not be driven. Others will be stripped of useful parts by the depot they are assigned to before being sent to scrap. Sometimes, those "useful parts" end up being things that the bus can not run without.

8855, 8857, 8932, 9052 JA to LG.

9216 scrapped from Jamaica. 9208 is now the last of those Manhattanville buses to stay alive, five and a half years since they left the depot.

8864 is not definitive for scrap. It was sent with 5167 to ECH yesterday, and given 5167 is still running, we'll have to make sure on that one. I think it's a goner, however.
