ABQ RIDE Posted January 24, 2011 Share #1 Posted January 24, 2011 Well, we know that the Second Avenue Line () is a long way off, and anything afterward would be very far into the future. So, if you could chose a color for a new line, what color would you chose and what letter/number would you give it? I would color it Pink and call it the (X). What about anyone else? Tokkemon Posted January 24, 2011 Share #8 Posted January 24, 2011 I think a black or white line. Or a light blue line. Or a peach or pink line.
rr4567 Posted January 24, 2011 Share #9 Posted January 24, 2011 This color. And maybe Y?
Dynamic Vaudeville Posted January 24, 2011 Share #10 Posted January 24, 2011 I say black. A black line would be cool. I also wouldn't mind a deep purple line. The can be colored a lighter shade, like magenta. It'll be hard to locate a pink or peach line given the tan background the current subway map has. Alargule Posted January 24, 2011 Share #11 Posted January 24, 2011 Hm, interesting question. Black or dark grey would not be an option, as those shades have already been used in the past or present for the various shuttle lines. One thing that has to be kept in mind when choosing a new color is that it should be easily distinguishable from other colors that are already used. Dark blue or indigo wouldn't work, as it is too similar to the blue the Eighth Ave lines use. Light blue might do the trick, as long as it's really bright and saturated to tell it apart from the SAS. I'd go for purple or pink.

Eric Posted January 24, 2011 Share #13 Posted January 24, 2011 Perhaps a tan line would do the trick.
EE Broadway Local Posted January 24, 2011 Share #14 Posted January 24, 2011 Colors from the glory days (1967 - 1979): A = 70(A) B = 70( C = 70(CC) D = 70(D) E = 70(EE) F = 70(F) G = 70(GG) H = J = 70(J) M = 70(M) N = 70(N) Q = 70(QB) R = 70(RR) S = 70(SS) 1 = 70(1) 2 = 70(2) 3 = 70(3) 4 = 70(4) 5 = 70(5) 6 = 70(6) 7 = 70(7) Plus we had 70(8) and 70(K)
Joel Up Front Posted January 24, 2011 Share #15 Posted January 24, 2011 Pink would be the only color left, then. Just to troll everyone, they should have iridescent bullets - every angle you can look at it from will make it appear to be a different color. They should think about the light blue, though, considering how there's light green for the and dark green for the , , and , but they only use dark blue... Roadcruiser1 Posted January 24, 2011 Share #16 Posted January 24, 2011 Joel light blue would be used for Second Avenue if it ever comes to exist. Remember the ? PS I have a hunch if the Third Avenue Elevated still exist they would use pink as the trunk color of the line. Here is more proof Joel
GojiMet86 Posted January 24, 2011 Share #17 Posted January 24, 2011 I'd say pink, but not light pink. A darker pink to see better.
