NEXT (let's avoid the foam here):

Because of a switch control failure, the switches in Homeball Alley cannot be switched. This means everything between 125 St and 145 St on CPW.

The switches are set in the favor of 207 St.

(B)

via the (B) Brighton Beach to 47-50 Sts (Brighton/6 Av Express)

via the (F) 47-50 Sts to 21 St

via the (R) 36 St to 71 Av (Queens Blvd Local)

(D)

via the (D) Coney Island to 59 St (West End Local/4 Av/6 Av Express)

via the (C) 59 St to 168 St (CPW/UWS Local)

(S)

via the (D) 161 St to 205 St

via the <D> 161 St to 205 St

One <S> runs on the Express track, leaving terminals every 10 mins

The switches are set in the favor of 207 St.

(A) Normal

(B) to 71 Av via Queens Blvd Local

(C)(D) Local from 59 St to 168 St

(S) 161 St to 207 St; Some are <S>

Why not just have the (D) run CPW local and the (C) CPW express, so the (A)(C) stay to 168/207 and the (B)(D) to Concourse?

Because according to the track map, all the switches are set in favor of the (A), with the exception of the downtown (D) from Grand Concourse. Have a look; Nothing can go up Concourse. You said it yourself that the switches were broken.

The (C) would be fine, but the (D) would have no choice but to run via the (C) Local to 168 St.

This thread is very enjoyable when everybody here keep making what the title suggests...

I think its better we keep doing that instead of discuss who post or not a situation or if a situation could or not happen, or it may be closed and i guess nobody here wants that. Anyway, lets play instead of discuss it.

Next: Due to water issues, the Bowery Station (J)(Z) is closed.

There's no way that the (C)(E)(F)(M) can be on one track, and the (E)(M) terminate at WTC together. I would just run the (M) in the first section you mentioned (to Broad Street).

Agreed. Best scenario there would be to extend the (G) to 71st-Continental to help the (R) while the (M) is shortened to Essex or is re-routed to Chambers or Broad.

NEXT:

The Brooklyn-bound (B)/(D) track at Broadway-Lafayette is out due to a rail condition, however, all other tracks there are in normal operation.

I think I might change 2nd section of (M) to operate between Forest Hills and Whitehall Sts via (R) line, making express stop between 34th & Canal Sts.

Affected: (A)(E)(J)(Z) and AirTrain JFK.

No Airtrain service.

Some (J) and all (Z) trains terminate at 121st Street

Some (J) trains are re-routed via the (M) to Metropolitan Avenue

Some (J) trains terminate at Broadway Junction.

Select (A) trains are single-tracked via the Rockaway Branch to Aqueduct Racetrack or Aqueduct-North-Conduit Avenue.

All other (A) trains terminate at either Lefferts Boulevard or Euclid Avenue

Some (E) trains are re-routed to 179th Street

All other (E) trains terminate at Jamaica-Van Wyck

There are shuttle buses from 121st Street to Jamaica Van Wyck and then Sutphin Boulevard and Parsons-Archer.
