Next, if you need help getting your Class B Commercial Learner's Permit (CLP), I would encourage you to check out cristcdl.com. Remember, the multiple-choice exams that you need to take and pass, at minimum, are General Knowledge, Air Brakes and Passenger Endorsement. If you would like and/or need more information into obtaining your Commercial Driver's License (CDL), click here.

When you are ready to go to the Department of Motor Vehicles, click here to make a reservation for yourself.

The Proposed Answer Keys for Exams 2611, 2612, 2613, 2614 and 3601 can be viewed on this webpage.

For those of you who wish to restore your name to the list, you must do so by sending an e-mail to certificationunit@dcas.nyc.gov. In your e-mail, state your full name, exam number, list number, the last four of your social security number, and a brief reason why you're restoring your name to the list. You do not have to go into full detail in the e-mail.

Good luck!!

What’s the difference between NYCTA, MaBSTOA, and MTA Bus Company?

NYCTA is a civil service position and part of the Nycers pension plan. You can work out of any borough, however if you pick Staten Island you’re stuck on the island. If you pick queens you’re stuck at that depot for your career.

OA is not civil servant but you can work out of Manhattan, Bronx and Brooklyn. No Queens or Staten Island.

MTA Bus is a consolidation of the private bus companies. You can work out of certain queens and Bronx depots or maybe Spring Creek in Brooklyn.

Are the benefits similar?

Hey MailManMike here. I just wanted to thank everyone providing answers and clarification on any questions people are asking. I'm sure if we have these questions others will as well.

You can take the MTA bus and get started until TA calls, then crossover.

Hey MailManMike here. If I want to work on Staten Island. Would you advise I wait for TA to call?

You can only work in Staten Island if you’re TA. However I suggest take which ever position calls first. Do the training and start working until TA calls and then crossover.

Hey MailManMike here. Understood! Thank you. I'm really in no position to travel all the way to The Bronx or Queens for work because I have no personal vehicle. I'll see what happens. Thank you friend.

That will be a heck of a commute then, although you do ride the system for free, it would still be a commute.

Lorna I could show you my run. Summer I was here from 6.30 to 8 and got paid for 9 hours.

@Henny, if you can please do all of us a favor and be mindful of how lengthy you make your posts, I would appreciate it. Now don't get me wrong - if you have a lot of information to share, such as the handouts, videos and/or a lengthy detailed description of the 10-Day Training Process, feel free to use as much space as possible. However, as I was editing your post, with the fact that I had to delete several unnecessary blank lines from your post, going forward, if you can please keep this in mind, it would be truly appreciated.

Thank you.

They initially sent an offer for NYCTA, they cancelled and rescheduled with a MTA BUS offer. Sounds a bit weird, but I can wait. You don’t need to pay and take an exam for MTA BUS.
