B/O NYCT Exam Testing Mar - Oct 2022 B/O 2611, 2612, 2613, 2614 & 3601 Hiring Process (TA)

This happened to me too. BMI body mass index is a dead giveaway for them to tell you this. At the time I was going for "MTA Bus company" the Sleep Apnea doctor told me he needs to do some testing, so I went for it. Turns out I have a mild sleep apnea disorder, so now I use a c-pap machine the doctor prescribed. I have quality sleep and trust me you going to need it as a rookie with all the weird schedules out there. So, keep that slip they gave you once you clear by the sleep apnea doctor you just need to go with the forms - keep in mind it might take 6 months to clear a sleep apnea doctor-. Also, once you clear you will take another drug test and another physical to talk to the same or different doctor at the mac. Back to my "MTA bus company" Story...I went back with the clear forms, and I happened to take a Mabstoa exam 3 years ago, so I qualify for both classes. I took Mabstoa and I passed drug test physical and showed the doctor the sleep apnea clearance - went express after that... So, bro... don't give up. Any sleep apnea doctor will do. Keep in mind that you are on an eligibility list until 7/20/2026 and that there are 4 exams to be stablish, you got this man. Just keep your license clean until you make it. 

HOPE this helps others that are BMI heavy! to get that sleep apnea study and are still waiting. "I don't SNORE" people.

Andy great input. Another brite site if you have mild sleep apnea transit doctor will take you off from sleep apnea recheck at mac every 6 months. Good luck never give up

This happened to me if you do have sleep apnea more than likely you do as they told me which I also thought is didn’t you have to order the machine and use it for 30 day email the medical unit and they will reschedule you for follow up just do it and get it done ask for at home sleep apnea test

Not yet. I hope they will call this week. Maybe they do the medical and final paperwork same day. We'll they have my medical record shouldn't be to hard. Even I got my 19A in January

Mailman nothing 100 precent when it comes to transit. They can always change the date or cancel further notice. All I know because my friend in the class now they try to fill staten island. Since we all TA and they need to open another class. Educated guess transit might wait little extra see how it goes with class start on 26th how many survive or decide to leave. When I got hired class room was about 80 students and survive maybe 40 and after line training maybe 30. Now since covid I don't know how many students on classroom. Smaller the head count more classes they will open.

Ok, overnight sleep study booked for next Wednesday. Saw the sleep Doctor yesterday, in his notes he wrote just examining me didn't show any signs of a person with sleep Apnea but unfortunately to rule it out the overnight study has to be done.

What I know last list number called from exam 2611 was 39x. I m 40x still didn't hear anything. Drug test good only for 30 days if they don't call next 10 days we have to do it again. Also is anyone have info class on 12th.

Couple things might effect this 

Drug test results came late or didn't come yet or they might find something 

Other thing issue with your application maybe missing something 

Either way I will go to 180 livingston to ask because get some on the phone impossible

One of the guys who was on here to start March 12 class list number was 15* . I been to 180 already to inquire last week.

Guys don’t go to 180 Livingston without an appointment they called my GS to complain.

Lol. So i was scheduled to have my sleep apnea overnight test done next Wednesday the 15th. Today i get a text/email from the Doctor saying everything confirmed and what my deductible would be. This one night of test is over $17,000 and my deductible around $2,600. Are these people on Meth? I had to start calling around for other places that can do the study, found a place in Brooklyn called Sunset Sleep Diagnostics that booked me over the phone for next Wednesday night also and they were familiar with clearing folks for MTA pre-employment.

I’m not sure but I heard the following class (after the 12th), will have about 60 students
