For the (NJT versions of) the DeCamp routes, here are the exact changes:

#191D: AM service reduced from 6 trips to 5 in the AM, and from 8 trips to 6 in the PM

#192D: AM service increased from 5 trips to 7 in the AM, 6 trips to 7 trips in the PM

#195D: Remains as-is (4 trips in each direction)

#199D: Remains with 4 trips in the morning and 5 trips in the afternoon, but with an extra 3 #199K trips added to Kearny/Harrison for former DeCamp #99 riders (this is actually an increase from the 1 DeCamp trip that operated post-pandemic, though likely still a decrease from pre-pandemic service levels).

Just noticed that these variants are now on the MyBusNow map.

Didn't know they had the #191 running down to Mississippi Loop.....

Lineage Logistics building.

I'd like to see how usage to/from there will end up comparing in the longrun, to that of the current #25 trips that run down to serve the Firmenich Plant....

Nos. 112, 113, 114, 115, 116, and 117 weekdays: Schedules out of New York during the PM peak have been adjusted to reduce reported dwell time at first stops in New Jersey. Trips have been added in the AM and PM peak to reduce crowding.

The first part of these changes is a roundabout way of saying they're cutting runtime...

Reduce reported dwell times at first outbound stops? This sounds specific to the #116.... For this to happen on the #117 literally makes no sense at all....

No. 119 weekdays: Service has been increased in both directions throughout the day. Select trips will start and end at JFK Boulevard at Pamrapo Avenue (city line between Bayonne and Jersey City). During the AM peak, all Northbound trips that do not start at Journal Square will bypass Journal Square to avoid potential delays associated with anticipated construction.

Just about everytime you look around, they're increasing service on this bad boy - Which makes you wonder how the #10 is still surviving all of this....

Anyway, not sure at what rate they currently have #119's short turning at JSQ, but how feasible would it be to completely rid themselves of short turning buses at JSQ & have all short turned trips run down to Pamrapo?

No. 811, 814, 815 and 818 (daily): In New Brunswick, all trips will operate via Neilson Street when George Street is closed.

Great..... Except buses have been doing this for weeks now.

No. 815 (daily): Route will now serve the FedEx facility on Edgeboro Road in East Brunswick.

The Sunday trips are gonna be real fun (referring to the fact that buses will be diverting to the Sayreville P&R, that Megachurch in Sayreville, and now that FedEx facility in East Brunswick.... Bonus points if we're talking about the New Brunswick bound buses, with that wacky routing to get back to rt. 18 after serving Tower Center)... Lol....

Regardless, every trip should not be doing this IMO.... It would be akin to having #813's serving the Raritan Center on weekends.... It almost gives me #400 vibes, with all them god damn diversions that route makes....

Them new 2023 artics can't get here soon enough for runs on the 119. Also, maybe NJT ought to create a 119X Express by adding some select express trips bypassing stops on Central Ave. I'm sure they're heavy loads from Bayonne to Journal Square in that stretch

I'm not a fan of how coach is running the 84...honestly NJT should just take over all the routes from ONE Bus.

Nah, they can keep the 24, 31 and 44

"Commuters using bus routes in Freehold Center complained that the new schedule cut some of their service both on local routes and commuter service. Others had route changes or changes to service frequency. Freehold is the Monmouth County seat.

Routes 64J, 130, 131, and 132 stopped operating via Freehold Center on June 24. Some of those buses averaged 3 people per trip, said Jim Smith, an NJ Transit spokesman.

Smith cited several issues for the changes including low ridership on some buses and adjusting service levels to Freehold Center to better align with existing ridership.

“Freehold Center customers still have numerous alternatives to and from that area with 70% of the overall service level remaining intact,” he said. “138 out of 196 revenue trips remain… on weekdays providing numerous options for customers.”

The ridership figures were questions by one commuter who said every Route 9 bus traveling via Freehold Center is serving six other stops on the way in and out of town.

Under the new schedule for the 130, 132, 136 and 139 buses, peak hour service to Freehold Center goes from a (roughly) 30-minute gap, to a 40-60 minute gaps from 5:28 pm through the peak commuting period, based on a comparison of the two schedules.

Smith said that was done to reallocate redundant service to better match ridership demand.

Freehold Center’s bus stop also has physical constraints, being located on a narrow road with “several operational constraints including fencing that abuts the property, Smith said. That affects the ability of traffic to pass on either side and impedes riders boarding and getting off buses, he said."

While I agree with doing away with service to/from Freehold Ctr. during the rush hrs. on the commuter routes (#130, #132, that combined #131/135 service they do after a certain hour). they went too far with scaling service in/out of Freehold Ctr. overall.... At the most basic level, all the latter tells me is that they're trying to cut runtime on the #139.... Now more BPH will stay on rt. 9 in Freehold (serving Freehold "Mall"), instead of making the diversion to serve Freehold Ctr.....

I just checked out the new #139 schedule..... The claim/sentiment by NJT that having ~ hourly service to Freehold Ctr. "better matches passenger demand" is a half-truth.... The claim ignores off peak hrs. & weekends.... There is a significant amt. of turnover at Freehold Ctr. outside of peak hours.... I've been on more than my fair share of #139's on the weekend (in either direction) that have practically, and some rides literally, tanked at Freehold Ctr.... What NJT's really saying with such a claim, is that these changes "better match passenger demand"........... for PEAK riders.

Straight up disingenuous.

Freehold "mall" is a joke. I made the mistake in getting off there once, never will do that again.

Used more as a kiss and ride than an actual destination

Yep... Exactly why I put "mall" in quotation marks... It's not much more than a (kiss & ride) & a (park & ride), and funny enough, it's used more as a (kiss & ride) than a (park & ride)...
