LRG Posted September 28, 2009 Share #4 Posted September 28, 2009 Email the photo off your phone. Then from your email, save the photo onto your computer. Then if you have a photo-sharing account like photobucket or flickr, upload it to that, copy the direct link and then add it here.

EE Broadway Local Posted September 29, 2009 Share #6 Posted September 29, 2009 The R46 train could've been a test train at 10:00pm. I've heard the may be getting one or two sets of R46s to fill out the service when the R32 Brightliners go to ten car sets.
Concourse Express Posted September 29, 2009 Share #7 Posted September 29, 2009 Question: Once the R32's are retired, will the consist solely of R46's?
Joe C Posted September 29, 2009 Share #8 Posted September 29, 2009 Question: Once the R32's are retired, will the consist solely of R46's? The line might run both R44 and R46 cars.

Testing, They did the same thing back in the fall of 2008 when they were testing R42's and puting the 8 car marker and at the same time around 10pm, The will have 2 trainsets of R46's in the future. NO, They were testing the R46 on the , They were not swapping, We all told you that that swap with the R32's won't happen, The R32's will remain on the . trainfan22 Posted September 29, 2009 Share #11 Posted September 29, 2009 Why do they need to test R46s on the ? I mean don't the R46s run on the during the overnight hours in service without a problem?

Grand Concourse Posted September 30, 2009 Share #13 Posted September 30, 2009 Good point, I mean are the A crews seperate from the C crews? Otherwise I don't see how they would need to test R46's on the C, unless it's to get more C crews familiar with how the R46's operates?
EE Broadway Local Posted September 30, 2009 Share #14 Posted September 30, 2009 Well, Crews will be going from handling an eight car R32 Brightliner set to handling a ten car set plus one or two eight car R46 set. That extra one-hundred twenty feet can make a difference plus the R46s are seventy-five feet long. I imagine it will seem different at first. Pelham Bay Dave Posted September 30, 2009 Share #15 Posted September 30, 2009 All B Div personal are quilified to handle R32's to R68's so that not it they can care less for T/O to adjust to new Equipment on a line. If its a new train then its another story but R46's are far from new. Most likely someone seen a light R46 and the T/O played around with the sign there is no need for testing unless they change it from 8 car R46 to 6 cars then a test train would have to run to see where they would put up new boards if any. However from all indications that is not the case.
Art Vandelay Posted October 1, 2009 Share #16 Posted October 1, 2009 Just imagine how high on the seniority list a T/O would have to be to not have been trained on R46s from the start of their career!
EE Broadway Local Posted October 5, 2009 Share #17 Posted October 5, 2009 So I hear now the will become eight car R46 sets, the will become R44 and R46 sets and the will become R32 Brightliners. If true, this will be interesting to see. I gather that an R160 to Jamaica displaces an R46 to Pitken which in turn displaces an R32 Brightliner to C.I./Concourse. Any idea what might happen to the (B)'s R68s temporarily?

The is still getting R46s but it will still have R32s.
