gregorygrice Posted December 29, 2009 Share #10 Posted December 29, 2009 I looked on MTA.info and now it says... Following an earlier incident, (1)train service has resumed with residual delays
LRG Posted December 29, 2009 Share #11 Posted December 29, 2009 No, not really. Someone made a typo in a service alert, nothing of great importance. IMO, it is a fail. People may get on a train and think that the train will get them to VCP, so I see it as a double-whammy fail.
Kingsbridge Bus Posted December 29, 2009 Share #12 Posted December 29, 2009 Not the first or last time will screw up. It's probably the same guy who is making these mistakes like the time when it said,"Due to an earlier electrical problem at South Ferry, all trains will run express between 42st & 125st. Who in the hell is going to look at an online service notice and say to themselves, "Wow! The is going to VC! Even though it's delayed, I'm going there right now!" Anyone who thinks like that is a walking, breathing fail.
Dumb4life Posted December 29, 2009 Share #14 Posted December 29, 2009 Both directions, 2 trains, running with delays. Due to police investigation at 242nd. Visit http://www.mta.info for details. That was today in the evening

Eric B Posted December 31, 2009 Share #21 Posted December 31, 2009 Well, they initially started running incoming (M)'s to Bwy Jct (I was at Met, getting ready to go back out when this first erupted), so then if they stopped that service, then it would be kind of correct. NX Express Posted January 1, 2010 Share #22 Posted January 1, 2010 There should a sticky thread: Guess what's wrong with this service alert.
IRT Bronx Express Posted January 1, 2010 Share #23 Posted January 1, 2010 Well, if too many G.O. errors are seen in the Service Alert, then yeah this thread deserves a sticky.

DOB2RTO Posted January 3, 2010 Share #25 Posted January 3, 2010 There was a deceased person on a train, that was suppose to go to the yard. The guy was slumped over, not breathing (could have seen the body myself, since I was in the crewroom, during this incident). Some who got a glimpse, said he was blue, which means he might have been dead during 1 or two trips, and no one notified the crew. They had to leave the train at the terminal, and wait for the Medical Examiner. The M/E took so long, they moved the train to the middle track at 238st first, then further to 231st middle (of course with police permission). When the M/E showed up, they put it back into the terminal, then to the yard, after the investigation was done, and the body removed.........
