Those 4 (Grand Av to CS) might be the summer buses to cover 5987-5990 over at LaGuardia. With Ulmer Park having some leftovers in-use until Labor Day. Probably how Flatbush got back their XD-60 units.

Is CS short on artics? Seen 4712, 4763, 4775, 4778 on the q44sbs and short buses. Also is MTA getting rid of the SBS scheme seems like everything on the Q44 is getting rewrapped to navy blue and gold?

Those 4 are there to fill in for the 4 XD60s they sent to LaGuardia for the summer. As for the other, the SBS scheme is being phased out slowly on the Stengel units.

Did CS lose any local artics?  Q12 is running three standard buses this afternoon (7437, 4200, and one of the 8900s).

Stengel uses the 40-footers on the Q12 all the time. There are days where there would be more 40-footers than 60-footers on the route.

That’s normal for the Q12. Currently there are 4 LFS’s and 4 XD60s (4700 series) on the route as I type this. I’ve always believed that there were other routes that needed artics over the Q12. I think converting the Q12 was all about cost savings because the Q12 is never running fully artic except maybe some overnights. On top of that the Q12 lost some service when it converted (which is normal during conversion) while I don’t recall the Q13 losing anything. So I see it as there being too many buses operating along Northern Blvd and the MTA used the artic conversion as an excuse to cut service.

I agree with the Q12 not needing artics, the 20 could’ve got the occasional artic, like the 12 right now.

Which 20? A or B. Not warranted north of Flushing (7) subway. South of it? I’ll give it a maybe. But I’ll wait until the redesign kicks in gear whenever that comes to play

Has 8961 been delivered yet? It was last reported to be at Volvo in Secaucus.

Also, what are the remaining LFS units to be delivered to NYCT?

8775, 8796 (though its was claimed to be delivered), 8881, 8914, 8942, 8944, 8946-8947, 8949, and 8961 have yet to hit service.

4952: Quill to Kingsbridge

4957 is also a Kingsbridge

So apparently #4957 made a round trip on the M100 this morning...

Not sure if it's indicative of anything, but there's a chance those XE60s could run on more KB routes. There's also a chance that both buses could've been sent back to Quill... I guess we'll see what happens.
