Whether UP gets LFS or not, there will still be a handful of RTS there, especially the 5100's. They would likely stay there until the late 2010's.

Fine with me. Honestly, it's annoying how everyone wants remaining RTS buses to be retired all together. Brand new buses come into the fleet and suddenly all these fans want the old buses to go. But it's usually not until the old buses are almost gone that the fans want their last pictures. It seems to be that way for every new bus that's delivered.

Few sets of 1997 RTS Nova Bus , 1999 RTS Nova Bus wont retire.. Who ever interested . That few set #9400 - #9600 series go to  Bus?..

If  LGA Depot is willing to take 1997 RTS Nova Bus #9400 - #9600 . If LGA Depot is short of bus.. I maybe wrong.. I am guessing  is interested sending 1999 RTS Nova Bus to LGA Depot..

Which isn't that far off so anything is possible since with options, this order can rise to 1,300.

Unless some of you guys just arrived on this site, it has been stated numerous times what the fate of the RTS will be.  With the new order of arriving  Xcellesiors and to be delivered and over 400 Nova's, the remaining 1999 Orion V's will be retired as well as all 1996 RTS'.  The best of the 1997/98's (9350-9699) will be saved for now. How many depends on how many active and spares NYCT want to have.  The 1999's (4900-5249) will be saved for now. 

 

In the coming years expect a fairly steady stream of new buses coming in.  Expect transfers of old stuff from NYCT bus to MTA bus.  Don't forget, MTA bus will have some artics coming in soon which will allow the retirement of RTS'.

 

Exactly what transfers take place, and which depots will have RTS' from whichever year is not yet known.

You mean XD40s... and that's because no new buses have entered service recently... (in the past week)

7366 - 7410 ( New Flyer XD40 ) are for  Bus.... Which depot will receive ( New Flyer XD40 ) 72 new buses 7411 - 7482 that for  nyct bus.. Short order of New Flyer XD40 72 new bus was purchased ..
