Brighton Express Posted September 25, 2012 Share #2635 Posted September 25, 2012 I'd cut the , but also limit the to 0530-1930 Monday thru Saturday. Make the run local on Sundays. That is assuming the runs rush hours. If that does not work, you can always change the trains to trains and run them full time.

Mr Railfan Posted September 25, 2012 Share #2638 Posted September 25, 2012 I would eliminate the and make the stop at all stations from Jamaica Center to Broad Street. The thing that i don't get is how would this solve anything? If the gets eliminated and replaced with the Local, then you would still have the same # of train running except they are running local. Or are you saying eliminate the without replacing its interval which would leave the local with 8-10 minute headways during rush hour.

You're taking out 6 runs of the , so I'm not sure if that'll impact much other than headways to start with. You might have to eliminate another route (Brighton went with the ) and through route to Brooklyn (albeit rush hours).
