Brighton Express Posted January 17, 2012 Share #66 Posted January 17, 2012 I agree. It it either the . They still have some R40M/R42's out there, and the stations are crazy bad. Canal Street, Essex Street, Chambers Street, o boy they need to do some work. If N6 Limited is right and passes it to me, I pass it on too. Kacie Jane Posted January 18, 2012 Share #70 Posted January 18, 2012 The old K train? (168th Street-Chambers Street) Pass. Close... I'm thinking it's the 70(AA). (The K wasn't old enough to be magenta, whereas the AA ran during both the Great Depression of the 30s, and the recession of the early 80s.) MikeGerald Posted January 18, 2012 Share #73 Posted January 18, 2012 From a previous message: "I was the first of my kind, born nearly 80 years ago. My northern half looks exactly the same as it did way back then, but for the first three years of my life, my southern half went somewhere completely different. Who am I?" At first I was gonna say the D-train, since we are talking about the 1932 era, but then I remembered that the D-train did not come into existence at least until the Sixth Avenue line came about. What traveled on the Concourse was the C express, and the CC local trains. Then I started thinking about the early history of the IND subways. I am gonna figure this out. A good one, Mike
