Around 3:30 PM and yes, it won't be out for a while.

You mean the R160 wont be out for a while or the R179 will be out for a while? Are they intending to make the (A) full R160 in the meantime?

Looks like there was a busy weekend at the barns!

I have 66 available, but perhaps 3388/89, 3400/01, 3840/41 are still in work service?

3512/13, 3778/79, 3810/11, 3932/33, 3938/39 were brought back from Pitkin, the rest from 207.

If all those R32s are at ENY, how come none were in revenue service yesterday or today?

Not yet needed because of various temporary "Light Riding" supplements.

That could change any day, and there would be no way to cover requirements without the R-32s unless the R-179s are suddenly restored.

Check back next week, the next and the next, etc.

The R-179 outage promises to be longer, quite perhaps a lot longer than the one in January.

Promises? How long? I heard other information that says their restoration is near.

There is a lot of information everywhere but I'm guessing in the next two weeks. As DJ Hammers mentioned, this was likely a single car incident so hopefully the entire R179 fleet isn't corrupt.

Went by ENY earlier and saw that they took the R32 out the barn, now all 8 cars are back on the deck.

8 cars or 8 sets? Above it was mentioned they had about 60 cars.

he probably meant 8 sets (most likely just made a typo there). and yeah, they do have around 60 cars.

today i saw a picture of an R32 parked on the put-in leads at ENY, which might even enter service tomorrow.

There is only one going out, I feel like it would be more especially if they transfer more R160s out to prep for normal service on the (A)(C).

8 cars, they only have 28 cars in the yard. the rest are at 207th/pitkin yard. we will see tomorrow if they come out or not. the union doesn't want them on the road at all, but (MTA) is trying to run them because of the ridership and social distancing.

If the (A)(C) resumes normal service, they will need more sets transferred to 207/pitkin which will make them need the R32 at ENY Unless they keep running the essential schedule on those lines.

the (A) is the only line going back to normal tomorrow, The (C) will still be on 15-20 min headway

But the (C) is using extra R46s which are usually assigned to the (A) meaning less equipment is available for (A) service.

some of those R46's might be pushed back to the (A) who knows. maybe they'll borrow more trains.

They could get more of ENY R160s but that would require the use of the R32 for the (J) Other than that there just arent enough trains. Where did you even hear of the (A) getting back to normal anyway?
