3142-3149: ENY to 207 St.

I would give this some time before it’s officially declared a transfer. I know someone mentioned spotted working the (C), but there have been times where cars moved and then returned to its original yard.

* This video mentions CBTC on the (F) line. However, Culver link buses aren't running due to the COVID-19 situation until further notice. Alternative transfer to/from Coney Island is the (N) train making all local stops at 4 Av-9 St during weekends as (F) trains terminate at Church Av (McDonald Av) at that time. For stops further down the Culver line, closest you can get is the B68 bus between 15 St-Prospect Park and Coney Island-Stillwell Av.

60 ft, the 2 is an error due to last minute changes

When R40's were briefly used on the (C) I think in 2009, why did they have to stop at the 10 car marker at the front of the platform?

Lack of door controls in the motorman's cab.  As a result, only the blind ends could be used by the conductor.  This was a problem with the R40Ms and R42s as well.  The MTA didn't want to move the in-station conductor boards from the 4-4 position to the 5-3 position; ultimately, having the 8-car trains stop at the 10-car marker became an issue due to the trains being off-center and passengers running, so the cars were shifted to the (A) instead after a few weeks.

This is also why the 5-3 setup was used when the R40/42s ran on the Eastern Division.  Looking back in retrospect, it never made much sense to me- would probably have been easier if they had just assigned the R32/38s to ENY for the 4-4 setup and sent the R40/42s to run on 10-car lines...

They had to line up with Train Operator "punch." There were no punch sometimes at proposed 8-car stops.

Why are 8838 to 8842 R160B missing from the June 1st listing?

thats strange. before 8833-8837 were out of service due to CBTC training, but were officially sent to Jamaica when the last alstom R160B left for Jamaica (8768-8772). 8838-8842 was sent to Jamaica in 2017 when the Cuomo Schemes were applied and sent 70 R160Bs from Coney Island to Jamaica in exchange for 70 R160A-2s.

Also 9053-9057 is back at Coney Island. It’s also on the (N)

That includes 9088-9092. Seems that Jamaica's (140) and C.I's units (120) are rotated or a uniform plan.

Coney Island yard only spared two sets of 160’s to Pitkin?! They should’ve sent them R46’s 😛

I thought more of the lower numbered R160B Siemens cars were going to be rotated to Coney Island yard to keep 120 cars in Coney Island. And what happened to 8918-8922/8928-8932, which was running on the (N) a few days ago?
