Update 2

I received a call 6:30pm from the number ending in 8195 from a Ms Edwards. I explained my situation and she scheduled me for pre-screening on 7/18 at 10am.

You're most welcome! Offhand, has she looked at the handouts to help her with the 10-day Training Session? Just a suggestion, that's all.

Also, as an FYI, the list for Exam 2614 has been published as of yesterday, July 12th, 2023, with 396 candidates.

@bkzroy I had a previous pre-screening appointment but had an expired CDL permit. I corrected the problem and emailed/called the numbers provided by others on the forum. As far as I know, you can't call to make an appointment, they call you.

I’m ready to do a backflip! 
I took 3601 and on the answer sheet it’s showing I only got 2 answers wrong out of 60 so It allegedly my assumption is that I scored about 95%+ on the exam. I’m also taking the MaBSTOA/MTA Bus exam in 5 days from now. As a person with infinite wisdom in this topic what would you recommend I do if i get picked by all 3 agencies around the same time?

Congratulations. Mabstoa is basically located out of Manhattan and Bronx, hence the name. Mta bus company is a mix of Queens,Bronx,Yonkers jfk/far rockaway. So in getting into these you'll most likely end up in these areas. It is totally up to you, I was hired into bus company sent to college point and dogs take 2601 to join TA to get into Staten Island where I reside. Best decision I made. It's all up to you and your family.

If all 3 call, go with the TA appointment. You’ll get the city pension and if you were to transfer to another city job or TA title, your time of service carries over. Also, you need to be TA to work in Staten Island or the Casey Stengel, Jamaica or Queens Village depots in Queens. 
 

With OA or TA, you will be able to work out of any depot in Brooklyn, Manhattan and the Bronx, subject to your seniority and excluding the TA only locations mentioned above.

If you’re thinking of moving up to dispatcher, then you can only work in your territory. Meaning if you’re TA, that’s only Brooklyn, Staten Island and Queens (again Stengel, Jamaica and QV) OA is only Manhattan and The Bronx. Only way an OA dispatcher can work in Brooklyn is at the Command Center. Superintendent and above, you’re going wherever they need you.

I’m 25 lbs away from having the BMI requirements. If they call me for medical before I lose the weight can I come back at a different day? Or do I have to do the sleep apnea stuff afterwards regardless of what my weight is by the time I get a call back?

That’s the only thing that makes TA favorable because I’m filing for the Train Operator exam in November and I want the time to carry over if I get offered the position.

I don't think you will be able to go a different day, which means you'll probably have to do all of the sleep apnea stuff.

You're welcome. Just note that they are now using the New Flyer buses and not the Orion buses, however a good majority of the material and videos apply to either type of bus.

I just got my list number from sanitation exam last year list number 1,0xx and now idk what job to take if I’m called, so confused and don’t want to regret either decision.

I don’t know how many make it into each class. But they do have mixed classes as the training is all the same.

I got my list number for exam #2614 has anyone who took #2614 received an email to go to Livingston? And for previous tests how long did it take to get an email to start your process?
