busdude2 Posted October 6, 2023 Share #3 Posted October 6, 2023 Too bad NJT will not take care of those 6500's that looked great before NJT starts using them.

Since when does NJT take care of their rolling stock?
B35 via Church Posted October 9, 2023 Share #5 Posted October 9, 2023 Took the #24a from Jersey Gardens earlier this afternoon.... For whatever the reason, I saw an OOS #31 at Ivy Hill, while I was waiting for the #37. I bring this up to say two things: 1} 24's are out there like wildfire... Obvious/vast improvement in service on the first day, compared to Coach USA... 2) They don't have "normal" signage for the 24/31 yet (pretty sure it's the same deal with the #44, although I never came across one today)..... On the front/top/main signage, it just displays the route number in the middle of the sign... like this [ 24 ]

The routes can't be found on MyBus.

The 24B is now the 24H (Harrison Street). Southbound, those are 24E and 24J respectively...yeah NJT at it again with these suffixes

She kept blurting out 24A at every stop where someone boarded (or attempted to board).... So she apparently didn't get the message of any of that.... ....unless she did that as a courtesy to riders, knowing that we wouldn't know wtf a 24S was on the first day. ------------------ Something interesting to note was that, before she pulled up to the stop, she stopped adjacent to a dispatcher in a white car - signed up with the HOWELL signage (before changing it to the 24 signage as displayed in my last reply)! I still don't know what to make of that... My immediate thought was, since when are there 40'-ers running out of Howell.... JAzumah Posted October 10, 2023 Share #9 Posted October 10, 2023 I would rather NJT not touch the suffixes until later in the process if they are not changing the route. They are introducing an unnecessary element of confusion into the process.

Putting what I think should happen with the route aside, I'd rather they leave the old nomenclature as is, because of that reason.
