BM5 via Woodhaven Posted November 8, 2011 #1 Posted November 8, 2011 When I go from my home to the Woodhaven Boulevard station, I saw a Q21 that has the Spring Creek Depot logo. I took a picture, but I have trouble downloading it unto the website. The first I saw was 3744, which I took a picture of. The second bus was 3589. I saw other Q21 buses with Spring Creek logos. I have the picture of 3744, I just need to know how to download picture on this website.
SevenEleven Posted November 8, 2011 #2 Posted November 8, 2011 Both must be recent transfers. 3744 is listed at Far Rockaway. http://www.ttmg.org/mediawiki/index.php?title=MTA_Regional_Bus_Operations_Depot_Roster#Far_Rockaway_Depot_.28FR.29
East New York Posted November 8, 2011 #3 Posted November 8, 2011 Also remember that come next fall SC isn't supposed to have any more hybrids at all.
MattTrain Posted November 8, 2011 #4 Posted November 8, 2011 Oh interesting catch. I rode MCI D4500CL numbered 3170 on the BM4 a few weeks ago and that had a College Point sticker on it.
qjtransitmaster Posted November 8, 2011 #5 Posted November 8, 2011 Oh interesting catch. I rode MCI D4500CL numbered 3170 on the BM4 a few weeks ago and that had a College Point sticker on it. it was either traded or interlined
via White Plains Road Posted November 8, 2011 #6 Posted November 8, 2011 it was either traded or interlined Ah it was transfer......not a interline. BM1-5 are SC routes those can interline each other. SC routes can't interline with CP routes!
qjtransitmaster Posted November 8, 2011 #7 Posted November 8, 2011 Ah it was transfer......not a interline. BM1-5 are SC routes those can interline each other. SC routes can't interline with CP routes! just as I thought I had a feeling it was definitely a transfer thx for clearing that up
B35 via Church Posted November 8, 2011 #8 Posted November 8, 2011 Two saturdays ago, I boarded a Q35 that had a SC decal on it.... figured it was a recent transfer & didn't think much of it.....
qjtransitmaster Posted November 8, 2011 #9 Posted November 8, 2011 some reason no surprise mta is doing so many o well
T J Trainman Posted November 8, 2011 #10 Posted November 8, 2011 3744 has been at FR for a while. 3589 at FR thats a new one. Also 3661 is back at JFK.
Nova RTS 9147 Posted November 8, 2011 #11 Posted November 8, 2011 Also remember that come next fall SC isn't supposed to have any more hybrids at all. All CNG and MCI?
BM5 via Woodhaven Posted November 14, 2011 Author #13 Posted November 14, 2011 I rode on a Spring Creek bus 3591 on the Q21. I have pictures now of 3591 and 3744 on the Q21 that have SC logos
East New York Posted November 14, 2011 #14 Posted November 14, 2011 I rode on a Spring Creek bus 3591 on the Q21. I have pictures now of 3591 and 3744 on the Q21 that have SC logos Those are Far Rock buses. They just haven't changed to depot logo's yet.
Grand Concourse Posted November 14, 2011 #15 Posted November 14, 2011 Two saturdays ago, I boarded a Q35 that had a SC decal on it.... figured it was a recent transfer & didn't think much of it..... Speaking of the Q35, in early October for at least a week, 3597 was running on it, but it turned out to be a loaner from SC. I have no idea why SC buses are being used on the FR routes.
BM5 via Woodhaven Posted November 15, 2011 Author #16 Posted November 15, 2011 Q35 actually should go to Spring Creek In my Opinion while the B103 should go to JFK and Spring Creek
qjtransitmaster Posted November 15, 2011 #17 Posted November 15, 2011 Q35 actually should go to Spring Creek In my Opinion while the B103 should go to JFK and Spring Creek how about no increasing DH mileage is not a good idea
East New York Posted November 16, 2011 #18 Posted November 16, 2011 Q35 actually should go to Spring Creek In my Opinion while the B103 should go to JFK and Spring Creek That doesn't make any sense as that would just be ass backwards. The B103 is nowhere near FAR or JFK. And the Q35's southern terminal is in Far Rockaway. Where on Earth would you come up with an idea for that transfer?
qjtransitmaster Posted November 16, 2011 #19 Posted November 16, 2011 Q35 actually should go to Spring Creek In my Opinion while the B103 should go to JFK and Spring Creek did you even look at the bus map before coming up with these ideas?????
BM5 via Woodhaven Posted December 14, 2011 Author #20 Posted December 14, 2011 Can someone explain why 3559 was out in Rockaway Park on the Q21.
Queens Surface Posted December 14, 2011 #21 Posted December 14, 2011 Can someone explain why 3559 was out in Rockaway Park on the Q21. Well 3559 is a JFK bus, maybe they loaned it to their cousins at FR.
BZGuy Posted December 14, 2011 #22 Posted December 14, 2011 did you even look at the bus map before coming up with these ideas????? Well isn't that the kettle calling the pot black!
Cait Sith Posted December 14, 2011 #23 Posted December 14, 2011 did you even look at the bus map before coming up with these ideas????? Do you ever look at maps before coming up with your ideas?????? I think not.
Far Rock Depot Posted December 14, 2011 #24 Posted December 14, 2011 In Rockaway, seeing other depot stickers after a bus gets transfered to FR even for weeks is common. You'll see the SC and JFK stickers on there for a while before they are replaced.
T J Trainman Posted December 14, 2011 #25 Posted December 14, 2011 Hmmmm. That might explain why a friend of mine saw 3543 on the Q-60 last night.
