Interested Rider Posted May 30, 2013 Share #1134 Posted May 30, 2013 You know what is interesting here: ABC Radio called it a "derailment" at 6:30 PM and the MTA website was saying something else at the time. If you compare what is listed under the subway delays for 1,2,3 it says something else while the big thing is saying "a derailment". 1984 deja vu.

iGeMiNix Posted May 30, 2013 Share #1142 Posted May 30, 2013 Can't they run the to 96th atleast? They were at one point during the evening rush I believe. Maybe they felt relaying at 103St was a hassle and they just decided to cut it and run the and local since the runs local during late nights anyways.
Abba Posted May 30, 2013 Share #1143 Posted May 30, 2013 (edited) Why should it run to 96th? itmaybeokay Posted May 30, 2013 Share #1150 Posted May 30, 2013 We're there announcement in the station explaining what happened? I mean the train I would have gotten on was literally the one that derailed. There were no announcements while I was down there, but I bailed after 10 minutes or so, when all the times on the countdown clock changed to "Delay". When I got above ground I got the first alert about "mechanical problems" but there was no audible announcement in the station.
