Southbound (6) trains are running express from Hunts Point Av to 3 Av-138 St while we get emergency assistance for someone who was struck by a train at Cypress Av.

Expect delays in southbound service.

For service to/from bypassed stations, take a northbound train.

A power off situation south of Hunts Point on the (6) line usually takes the whole IRT down with it. Let’s see what ends up happening.

Suspended  Posted: 12/29/2019  6:33PM

Franklin Av (S) service is suspended in both directions because of a signal problem at Park Pl.

Please see a station agent to receive a courtesy pass for continuing subway or bus service.

For alternate service, use B48 bus service. If that bus becomes crowded, also consider B43 bus service.

Trains Rerouted  Posted: 12/29/2019 10:03PM

There is no (Q) train service in both directions between Coney Island-Stillwell Av and DeKalb Av because of a signal problem and an FDNY investigation at Brighton Beach.

(Q) trains are running on the (D) line in both directions from Coney Island-Stillwell Av to DeKalb Av.

For alternate service between Coney Island-Stillwell Av and Church Av, take the B68 bus which connects you to (F) and (G) service at 15 St-Prospect Park.

Update of above. Unsure if rush hour service will operate normally given the situation. Service has been suspended since about 9:30 PM:

Multiple Impacts  Posted: 12/30/2019  2:08AM

There are ongoing delays and multiple impacts to (Q) train service because of an earlier electrical fire which damaged some signal components at Brighton Beach.

There is no (Q) train service in both directions between Coney Island-Stillwell Av and Kings Hwy.

Southbound (Q) trains are ending at Kings Hwy.

For continuing service, free shuttle buses are operating between Kings Hwy and Coney Island-Stillwell Av in both directions.

As an alternative, consider taking the B68 bus running along Coney Island Av.

Delays  Posted: 12/30/2019  3:40PM

There are significant delays on the (7) line in both directions because of a signal problem at Queensboro Plaza.

(7) express service is currently suspended.

Customers are strongly advised to consider travel alternatives, such as transferring between nearby subway lines and crosstown buses or traveling via the LIRR.

The LIRR is accommodating MetroCard holders at no additional charge in both directions between Penn Station, Woodside, and Flushing/Main St.

I thought Byford said these rain related CBTC issues were going to stop...

And the lines only running at 50% capacity it looks like. Must be a real shitshow down there right now.

I'm wondering how they're able to turn both the (4) and (5) at Bowling Green with the current headways. Normally they run the (5) only to Grand Central or East 180th St.

Fumigation takes 5 minutes, but with more staff at the station, it should go well.

Queensboro Plaza is a mess. There's a Manhattan bound (N) Train that's MIA, and there's now a 10+ minite wait for the (Q) , while (7) trains came in and dumped people on the platform. On top of that, people transferring off the Astoria bound (N) and (Q) trains are stuck on the stairs because there's little space to move.
