yeah i saw it too. i was with cousin railfanning in 6AM in the morning before work. i saw (B) on the (D) and (N) on the (Q). it was because of the rain. 3 sets of R160B was on the (Q) even thought they were (N) just not to confuse the customers.

goes back to what ive stressed every since i joined here. i so wish u guys could get ur (:) back to the west end, then the (D) can go home to Brighton where it belongs

 

too bad that will never ever happen again unless (NYCT) switches the entire (B)(D) service, which would be totally pointless since most riders do not care what letter/number their lines are as long as they provide the service they want, and in 2004, a survey showed most Brighton riders preferred Broadway service and many West End riders wanted 24/7 access to 6th Avenue. that is why the (B)(D)(Q) runs the way their are today.
