Coney Island Av Posted May 14, 2018 Share #1 Posted May 14, 2018 This is a follow-up to the favorite bus terminal thread @BM5 via Woodhaven created. I figured I'd do one for the subway too, since it is a place where almost everyone on this forum railfans. I'd bet we all have our favorite stations, so I decided to create this thread. Anyways... Coney Island-Stillwell Av has to be my favorite because it looks very nice in summer, reminds me of the beach, and is BMT-themed. The terminal is unlike any other termini in the system, featuring a total of 6 tracks. The take a smooth curve before entering the station that's right in front of Luna Park, the ferris wheel, and all those roller coasters. You can get lots of good photos of the from the street, since it terminates on tracks that bumper block. It's technically the big southern hub of the entire BMT. Some of my other favorites include: Beach 67 St-Arverne By the Sea Beverley Rd Myrtle Av Smith-9 Sts

Deucey Posted May 15, 2018 Share #6 Posted May 15, 2018 Old South Ferry because of how precise the concrete was cut to avoid train carriages by centimeters, the platform extensions being pushed back without damaging carriage ends, and you could see Lex Line trains reversing on the inner loop if you were at the station at the right times. ABOGbrooklyn Posted March 3, 2019 Share #13 Posted March 3, 2019 Coney Island - because of the design selection of trains and the views Chambers Street because of the old school grittiness. Myrtle Ave pre gentrification Broadway Junction for views of the & trains also view of the yard and I find it cool that's if you look in different angles you'll see Bed Stuy, Bushwick, Cypress Hills and East NY. 86th Street because it's design and I like that area in particular Bay Ridge Ave I like that the platform is really wide Smith 9th because of the views and the high point. Queensboro Plaza because of the connection to the BMT and IRT in one platform. Flushing Main St because of the design, when the terminates on the middle track both doors open, which makes it unique. And I like the area. Times Square because of its immense connections to many train lines.
