Anyone knows the breakdown of the training  when you have just the B permit (days). Asking so I know how many days of absence I shall put in for my current jobs just in case god forbid I was to fail the road test. I ain’t trying to burn bridges until everything is 100% confirmed.

Posting this on behalf of a friend:

She was called in for training, but the day before she was roped into a heated argument between her parents and her mother falsely accused her of a misdemeanor and she was charged but not convicted. Does this affect her training or employment, or can she continue as is? The charge is fraudulent and will be dismissed as soon as it can.

Yesterday I went back the 180 Livingston and cleared my medical hold (thank god I got cleared) instead of doing the final processing, I had to do a second drug test. Anyone else just did the final processing for 2302?

I had the same issue.

This is exactly what kept me back for a while,  then I had to hunt them down sending emails on top of emails and finally got hired and in line training right now.

With the permit.  After everyone go to Day 10 and pass, you will then go to East Chester for DMV training while you awaiting your road test date.  Once you pass at 1st try you go to your Depot for line training.  Just make sure you pass the Zerega 10 days training on day 7.  In that way you have more shot at the DMV just in case you don’t get it on 1st try.   Day 7 is 1st test day, then day 9 then 10.  Day 10 is nerve wrecking who don’t make it then have to go upstairs and resign. I was there on day 10 when the others were taking their test, once you drive back the bus into Zerega yard that means you pass.  If the Instructor back the bus back in you fail.  So good luck.  Stay very positive in the process.

Did you have a permit? If you did? What would you recommend to do to prep? I’m stressing because I have a permit too and I’m leaving NYPD to jump ship over.

How did everyone handle the "termination" part of the application?? I didn't pass my probation with Maggie's Paratransit in December 2019. Kinda worried about that....

No the training.  Don’t know they were just escorted out the building.

No. I meant on the application... they want you to list all your terminations from previous jobs you've had. I didn't pass my probation with Maggie's Transit for a red light violation in December2019. That's the only job I've been let go from and my 15 year driving record is clean otherwise. Just kinda nervous cause I'll be moving back from California and don't wanna get disqualified for what happened at Maggie's Paratransit. That would be such a waste, movingif that happened! :(

Is it the regular camera tickets?  If that’s the case you’re good.

I had a speed zone ticket where the camera flashed my car right before I was hired and as long as I paid it I was good.  Just put everything on paper, if you don’t and they find out then they fired you for it.

Just put you got fired. They’re just asking because that’s what they’re going to use to do your background check.

I was fired from two jobs in the two years prior to being hired.

That still will not prevent you from being hired.  Put you were terminated. As long as you put it on application.  It’s not a big deal or anything to disqualify you.

Don’t give up the opportunity, just flight out with a backpack for a day or so for the pre employment. It may be a while before they send you the email notification for medical/final processing after the pre employment/drug test.

Ummm you can't do that... this isn't like some regular job. You have to have a NYC license. Mine is still California (I'm not moving back till July/August). I would have to switch everything over to NYC before the 3/14 pre employment and That's not possible. I'm still driving in California.

Just be prepared.  When they call you for medical it means you’re most likely starting that Sunday thereafter.  They’re moving fast.
