PATCOman Posted April 15, 2011 Share #226 Posted April 15, 2011 I just remember it from the early-mid 90s. It was probably taken down when the station was rehabbed.

I don't know where the foundries get the great idea to charge so much for what amount to pixels on a screen. I do graphic design work at university, so I have a lot of these fonts, included Akzidenz-Grotesk / Univers / Gotham / Frutiger / Helvetica, the like. Works wonders for my BVE realism!
TrainFanatic Posted April 25, 2011 Share #229 Posted April 25, 2011 Near the East 105th St station on the Canarsie Line. Before the elimination of the grade crossing in 1973. Interesting photo isn't it? Many interesting nostalgic photos of the subway can be found here.

King Of RedBirds Posted April 26, 2011 Share #232 Posted April 26, 2011 How about some brand new R12s from the company called ACF and a Redbirds on the 5 line. Could somebody confirm if the third pic is either an R26-29 car that received an R17 storm door or is it one of the rare 16 R17s that were painted in the redbird paint scheme before being retired in two months from the date the picture was taken? Thank you. That's an R17

King Of RedBirds Posted May 3, 2011 Share #241 Posted May 3, 2011 That's cool. Why did they tear part of it down, again? One question why was it turning if the remaining trackways go straight.
MTARegional Bus Posted May 4, 2011 Share #242 Posted May 4, 2011 Westchester Ave looking northeast from Brook Ave in the 1940s, The two tracks coming up on the far left and right are subway routes 2 and 5. This is right after the subway comes up from underground.

PATCOman Posted May 5, 2011 Share #244 Posted May 5, 2011 The lower level is the 3rd Avenue line. It turned on Gun Hill, then went down Webster, similar to the Bx55 before cuts.
