lilbluefoxie Posted November 3, 2010 Share #12 Posted November 3, 2010 the ride out down towards broad channel is a great ride. im never usually on it more than 2-3 stops, because its 8 cars, really any stop is a good photo stop. The express segment along 4th avenue was fun to ride. The Queens Blvd segment is good, im not usually on the or 6th avenue for that matter that often On weekends go to 111 St to see one of the R42s laid up on the middle track. The curves in cypress hills are fun to ride thru. Any part is good for photos because of the 8 car sets. The Astoria line and hte Manhattan bridge segments as well as the sea beach segment are good. Queens Blvd is your best place for photos Same as J South Ferry has great photo ops the 4 and 5 are better I dont have much experience on teh

IRT Bronx Express Posted November 3, 2010 Share #18 Posted November 3, 2010 If you actually want to accomplish a successful railfan trip, don't change your mind later on and say that you'll cancel this trip for whatever reason. Plan how you want it to turn out and stick with it, and make it exciting.
