Due to a murder investigation in the Corona Yard, the (7) trains cannot stable there. What would you do?

<7> No Service

NOTE

(7)<7> trains in the yard will be stored on the Express track between 33 St and Main St.

(7)<7> trains will be stored on the 111 St/Shea Stadium Lay-up tracks.

A southbound (6) has been commandeered by a team of hijackers between 28th and 23rd Streets. In accordance with the hijackers' demands, power has been shut off on the (4)(5)(6) between Grand Central and Union Square. Rush hour starts in 30 minutes.

(4)(5)(6) terminate at 42 St, (4)(5) trains run from Wall Street to Brooklyn, also send a marine group to kill the hijackers! Edited by Tim92

All lines cannot terminate at 42nd Street, look at track maps

How I would do it:

(4) trains run in two sections, Woodlawn to 42nd Street-Grand Central and Brooklyn Bridge to Utica Avenue (extra TPH from Brook. Bridge to Utica)

(5) trains run via 7th Avenue express, so (2) trains run with limited trains per hour.

(6) trains run from Pelham Bay Park to 42nd Street-Grand Central.

<6> trains are suspended.

A shuttle assigned as (6) runs from Brooklyn Bridge to Bleeker Streer (skipping Spring due to the lack of a transfer)

NEXT: A Coney Island-bound exprss (D) train has derailed on 4th Avenue between 9th Street and Prospect Avenue. No trains can run on the southbound local and southbound express tracks between these two stations. Reroute the (D)(N) and (R) lines.

(D) via Culver, (N) via Brighton, (R) Normal-Jay St/59 St-Coney Island via (N) line. (Q6Av) from 36 St-Coney Island via (D) some (R) trains run to bay ridge Edited by Tim92

(B) terminates at Broadway-Lafayette

(D) Coney Island Bound via (F) between Bway-Lafayette & CI (Express between Jay St & Church Ave)

(N) Coney Island Bound via Brighton Express.

(D)(N) via local between 36/59 & Pacific Sts. (Manhattan Bound only)

(R) two sections: 36 St-95 St or Coney Island (express track between 36-59) & Pacific St-Forest Hills.

If this is OK.

Doesn't terminating the (B) at 2nd Avenue cause less conflicting movements?

next, due to a derailed <A> train between W4th St and 14th st, stations from W4th to 14th st are closed, also due to another derailed (A) train, stations are closed between 14th St and 50th St. Reroute (A)(C)(E) trains. (Note, this is long term so the MTA can fix the Street and the Tracks because both (A) trains are exposed on to the street.)

(A) runs via 6th Avenue local, and local in Manhattan

(B) trains run between Brighton Beach and Whitehall Street (R) ONLY. (They do this with (D) trains during certain overnight GO's, so this isn't too far out of the ordinary. Better than suspending it, and shouldn't cause any delays)

(C) runs between Chambers Street and Euclid

(E) runs via 6th Avenue local

(M) runs to Broad Street

---

(E) runs slightly reduced service as to provide minimal delays with the (A)(F).

Summary:

6th Avenue express: (D)

6th Avenue local: (A)(E)(F)

CPW express: (D)

CPW local: (A)

Chambers-WTC or Canal Street, Manhattan-Lefferts Boulevard or Far Rockaway, Queens.

(B) runs all times and replaces the (A) and (C) in upper Manhattan. When it would not be running normally, the (B) operates 145th Street-2nd Avenue.

(C) is suspended.

(D) runs local 145th-Columbus Circle.

(E) runs via 6th Avenue between 5th Avenue-53rd Street and West 4th AND is extened to Euclid Avenue to replace the (C) in Brooklyn.

Some (F) trains re-routed via the (G) between Roosevelt, Queens and Bergen Street, Brooklyn.

(M) runs all times on 6th Avenue during this shutdown (late nights to Queens Plaza).
