i think he means that in a hypothetical that because of the residents the MTA decided to bow down to the flushing residents and delay the G.O and thus a cause of the derailment

(7) Main Street to Queensboro Plaza  call in emergency shuttles between queensboro plaza and hunters point

(N)(Q) extra service

(S) runs 24-7 till service fully restored

Alright, lemme try. But don't lynch me if I make a mistake....  :D

A police investigation is currently ongoing on a very busy weekend in Lexington Avenue - 59th Street. Due to that, the station was closed.  What should you do?

Depends. LL or UL? If it's on the LL, here I go....

(4) trains rerouted on the local track between 42nd and 125th.

(5) Trains rerouted via (2) from Nevins to 149-GC/149-3rd Ave. If TPH is at capacity at 7th Ave, (5) train runs between Dyre and 180th.

(6) Train service operates normally, however w/ delays.

UL...

(4) Trains run normal service

(5) Trains - See above

(6) trains - express between 42nd and 125th.

Because of Flushing residents complaining about a necessary G.O., a (7) train has derailed in Steinway. Reroute trains.

Can't single track in the tube, so service is suspended between TSQ and QBP. Extend (Q) service to Astoria, <7> Exp suspended. Cross honor between Penn/LIC/Hunters and Woodside?

A plague of locusts (like in Sim City) invades the Lexington Avenue line during rush hour. People need to be moved from these parasitic creatures and resources are needed to get rid of the locusts. The entire line from 86th Street to Brooklyn Bridge has been affected. Service must be suspended entirely along the line for at least an hour and afterwards  full service cannot be restored for at least 24 hours as crews may need to be on call immediately if any more locusts show.

Replace the suspended/reduced service.

Very... imaginative!

(4) suspended between 86 St and Bowling Green

(5) via 7th Avenue

(6) suspended between 86 St and Brooklyn Bridge

I wasn't sure if we were regarding 59th Street service at this point:

the (R) via Local and 63rd Street and the (Q) via tunnel.

(N) shuttle in place in Astoria and normal service to 5av-59th (if possible).

Oooh, I love SimCity! Okay, here I go.

(4) trains run from Woodlawn to 96th (via local and 86th in dangerous)

(5) train run via 7th Avenue, limited service.

(6) trains run the same as the (4) in Manhattan

<6> runs cancelled

I mean, it wouldn't handle the full volume of riders but they single track in the tubes all the time. Every time they have a "All trains stop at the queens/manhattan bound platform" for Vernon/Jackson or Hunterspoint. There's a double crossover just before the line goes underground at hunterspoint, and another before grand central.

(7) Terminate at QBP

<7>Trains operate every 10 minutes between Times Sq and Flushing Main St. Hunterspoint Ave and Vernon-Jackson: All trains board at the queens bound platform (assuming the derailment is in the manhattan bound tube)

Or the M103, (N), (Q), or (R) train...

...moving along, severe structural problems have been found at Broadway Junction so the entire area is closed off ( (A) and (C) are still running normally) and impassable

Fix the problem

Also, the M101/102 could be extended

EMERGENCY? Can't just suspend a train....gotta terminate it somewhere first or reroute it.

Turn em' into 3's or send em' to Livonia or Lenox.

Fresh Pond's Scenario:

(A) and (C) trains bypass the junction.

(J) trains run in two sections, Broad to Chauncey Street and Crescent Street to Jamaica.

All (Z) runs are cancelled.

(L) trains run 15 tph from 8th Avenue to Myrtle Avenue and Atlantic Avenue to Rockaway Parkway.

EDIT: All (J) runs run off Broadway and run via the (M) to Metro Avenue.

See this for the buses:
