Reroute. Lets assume that all lines run at 15TPH. Remembering that many lines were much shorter and there was no 6th Avenue line then: and run via Rutgers with the between West 4th and Jay Street and are local in Manhattan. Some trains run via the between Queens Plaza and Bergen Street Single-track shuttles run between Canal and West 4th Street in Manhattan AND in Brooklyn between High and Jay Streets. is suspended NEXT: A switching issue at Essex Street has trains coming off the Williamsburg Bridge HAVING to go via the 6th Avenue line under all circumstances. No trains coming from Brooklyn off the Willy B can terminate at Essex. This will take a week to properly fix. At the same time, a second switching issue has trains on the 8th Avenue local tracks at West 4th southbound automatically going to the 6th Avenue line. If that is the case, assuming both sides of the Manny B and the Montauge Tunnel are closed and Cranberry and Rutgers are open (and remember, 63rd Street has NOT opened up yet): and run normal service runs to 2nd Avenue station runs in two sections: Coney Island-36th Street in Brooklyn Broadway-Lafayette Street to 205th Street in Manhattan to Canal Street (as was actually the case) and run normal service to Broad Street (no in Brooklyn) and ARE running on a loop from Court Street via Sea Beach to Coney Island AND from Coney Island via the Brighton Line to Court Street and vice versa (with going via Sea Beach and back via Brighton while the runs to Coney Island via Brighton and back via Sea Beach, both trains are local throughout). Coney Island is considered the southern terminal for this purpose but all trains run through and only stop at CI. is NOT suspended and is running in two sections: 71st-Continental to Canal Street (tunnel level) at all times Court Street-95th Street at all times, except overnights when truncated to a shuttle that terminates at 59th Street. runs from Canal Street (tunnel level) to Astoria. Eric B Posted October 30, 2014 Share #4461 Posted October 30, 2014 In 2001, the north side was closed, so were already cut off at 34th, and wouldn't figure in this. They would not run a G.O. like this cutting off the remaining paths out of Brooklyn, so you would need another emergency to shut them down.
Wallyhorse Posted October 30, 2014 Share #4462 Posted October 30, 2014 Which is what I thought Eric: That's why I did what I did. I had forgotten the and only went to 34th then, with the 6th Avenue Shuttle at Grand Street. And I goofed on 63rd on mine, as I forgot that line was open to Queensbridge.

Wallyhorse Posted November 3, 2014 Share #4465 Posted November 3, 2014 (edited) New one: Major switching issues at Chambers Street on the Broadway-7th Avenue Line have created it where north of Chambers Street, ALL trains MUST cross over to the opposite track in BOTH directions. In addition, a separate switching issue on the loop at South Ferry has it where trains coming from the Broadway-7th Avenue line are automatically switched to the Lexington Avenue line and trains coming from the Lexington Avenue line in turn are switched to the Broadway-7th Avenue line. The "new" South Ferry station is in the process of being rebuilt (as it actually is right now). The "new" South Ferry station is in the process of being rebuilt (as it actually is right now). Given the layout of the loops, the Lex-Broadway switch is before the Broadway-Lex switch. In your scenario, essentially the Lex trains would just go through the outer loop and go back up Lex, while the Broadway trains can't get by at all (switch would be fouled). But whatever...
