realizm Posted February 5, 2014 Share #1788 Posted February 5, 2014 Something happened at chambers street Clark street tracks? (2)s were running via Lexington express. I think it also said there were no uptown and to 96th or something like that Got caught up in the mess. At the time no service was running in either direction, I had to get back in the street and march to the IND 8th Ave Line as a detour. Wasnt mad or nothing, pretty calm, its to be expected during severe storms. I got used to this after a while. But boy there was some confusion, and the rants that were coming out of the mouths of many straphangers, hilarious!

Allow additional travel time. How bad are the delays if they feel the need to post an alert about them? That area is always slow. All because they never built a darn flying junction. One can often walk from Grand Army Plaza to Franklin Avenue in the time it takes for a train to travel that same distance.
RollOver Posted February 7, 2014 Share #1791 Posted February 7, 2014 (edited) Exactly. The junction (east of Franklin) is the major reason why those four Brooklyn IRT lines are delayed prone during the height of rush hour, depending on the amount of frequencies provided. The has to cross over to/from the local track, then cross over to get to/from the Nostrand Avenue corridor. Too bad nothing can ever be done about that. Hate that design/layout so much.
