Due to train with mechanical problems at Lexington Av-53 St:

Jamaica-bound (E) trains are running on the (F) line from W 4 St-Washington Sq to Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Av.

71 Av-bound (M) trains are running on the (F) line from 47-50 Sts-Rockefeller Ctr to 36 St (Queens).

Allow additional travel time.

And it's in the middle of the rush hour.

In addition to this:

How can you even run four trains on one track from Roosevelt to Contental n/b.The (M) and (R) terminate there,You either send some to either Jamaica center or 179th .Or terminate them other places,But there in no way that can be handled on one track like that,

You said that queens blvd was delayed yesterday so I was saying that running everything local from Roosevelt to Continental can be a big problem since 2 trains terminate there also

Oh, The (E) , (F) and (M) were running Local on 6th Ave, but their normal routes in Queens.  But because of switch problems further down the line, the (E) and (F) had even more delays.

It doesn't make sense unless the activity cause the switch to lock in place and make all northbound trains go local from the Bridge.

Following an earlier incident at W 4 St-Washington Squarec.png and e.png train service has resumed with residual delays.

There was a rail condition that had (C) and (E) trains running express.

Also had the (D) running local 145-59 to cover for the (C)

The smoke condition was at 8 St. Also in today's news: mta.info's delay listings have mistakes in them more often than not. Despite outcry from local transit forums, it is not the end of the world and each one does not need to be analysed to death.

But I demand accuracy in their service alert posts!!!

Seriously though, as long as the service alerts clearly convey the current service without being word salad like they sometimes are, I really don't care if they have minor errors in them.

Due to signal problems at Wakefield-241 St, northbound (2) trains are running express from Gun hill Rd to Wakefield-241 St.

Allow additional travel time.

Wait a minute I thought the (2) is not going there this weekend?

It may not have been posted in the archives, but it was posted on the website and through the email system. It went something along the lines of:

Due to a train with mechanical problems at Court St, there are no R trains between Atlantic Av and Court St.

At least I think that's what came up on my iTrans notification.

Due to ongoing signal problems at Essex St the following service changes are in effect:

Some Broad St bound j.png trains terminate at Broadway Junction

Some Metropolitan Av bound m.png trains terminate at Myrtle- Wycoff Avs.

Allow additional travel time.

How does that make sense?
