CPBO Posted August 20, 2012 Share #26 Posted August 20, 2012 It would be better that they figure out the times before they just throw some up....does not take 29 minutes to get from LIrr to Jewel ave on the Q25.....put it like 20 min....better the bus to be late then have to stack em up at Jewel Ave and wait your time point!!!! Yeah... MTA Bus moves a bit faster than transit (usually), let's keep it that way!
NewFlyer 230 Posted August 21, 2012 Share #28 Posted August 21, 2012 I saw today that the Q10 has guide a rides with schedule and maps. It looks good I wish the map was exactly the same as the NYCT buses but it ain't bad. I can't wait to see them on the Q25, Q65,Q64,Q112 and all the MTA bus routes. Mysterious2train Posted August 21, 2012 Share #29 Posted August 21, 2012 On Astoria Blvd, the M60 only stops at certain stops but the Q19 makes all stops. Where the M60 stops, it and the Q19 have guide-a-rides but at the in-between stops for the Q19 there's just the old signs. That's nice.

FamousNYLover Posted August 21, 2012 Share #32 Posted August 21, 2012 Q72 which I boarded at 37th Av did not have schedule. I wish if Veolia NICE Could work with MTA and has schedules set up. Only places that do not have schedule for either NYCT/MTA Buses are at 165th Bus Terminal.
FamousNYLover Posted August 21, 2012 Share #33 Posted August 21, 2012 Q102 sign still says "Queens Surface Corp. on all old bus stops in Roosevelt Island.
NewFlyer 230 Posted August 21, 2012 Share #34 Posted August 21, 2012 Maybe in September the rest of the MTA routes should get schedules and maps. I don't understand with routes like the Q112 don't have them guide a ride boxes yet, That bus really needs them.
Quill Depot Posted August 22, 2012 Share #35 Posted August 22, 2012 It costs to constantly update the schedules. I go by schedules online, so I don't use the ones at the stops. The schedules should only be used on routes with infrequent service.

The Q112 runs on time is just that people have no idea when it comes. You can be waiting and your wondering isn't the bus suppose to be here. The Q25 and Q34 can use them because, sometimes on weekends and Weekdays there are some hours that it runs slow. Then again the only reason the MTA bus is getting them is because someone complained about it.

Then again the only reason the MTA bus is getting them is because someone complained about it. Because there are times when it comes more infrequently. If you're putting it up for those times, you might as well put it up for rush hour as well.
NewFlyer 230 Posted August 22, 2012 Share #38 Posted August 22, 2012 I have a friend who lives near the Q10 and says its very fast all day. I know there are somethings when it gets backed up.
FamousNYLover Posted August 22, 2012 Share #39 Posted August 22, 2012 I remember doing Transportation Alternative Rider Rebellion's Elmurst Transit Town Hall and MTA Meeting, I remember person, I think riders of Q23 complain why former private bus co don't have schedule and others has schedule. NewFlyer 230 Posted August 22, 2012 Share #40 Posted August 22, 2012 I thank them ppl should keep complaining so NYCT and MTA bus will be equally treated soon we should have thesame stop poles like the NYCT bus routes.
