Wallyhorse Posted February 15, 2012 Share #253 Posted February 15, 2012 So, in this case, the would be eliminated. Only the shuttle that runs nights and weekends since this "Black (V)" would be running that route at all times (same with the Franklin Avenue that also would be absorbed by this new line)..

Then why run the Franklin Ave in the first place?
Wallyhorse Posted February 16, 2012 Share #255 Posted February 16, 2012 The idea of this line is that it would absorb the Franklin Avenue as well as (nights and weekends) the Myrtle Avenue (Mx) shuttle and serve as a 24/7 Brighton local between Metropolitan Avenue and Coney Island, with the current single track portion of the Franklin Avenue rebuilt to two tracks and those stations rebuilt to 600 foot platforms (and the existing Myrtle El stations lengthened to 600 feet). This would allow the to be a full-time Brighton Express to Brighton Beach while the ( becomes a second QB local to Coney Island (replacing the on that portion) on weekdays.

Yeah, and send the to Canarsie on weekdays, and have some trips end at Bway Jct.

Wallyhorse Posted February 23, 2012 Share #260 Posted February 23, 2012 Why switch the ( & the for local/exp? The would be a 24/7 Brighton Express to Brighton Beach, replacing the weekday ( Brighton Express on that part. The "Black (V)" would become the 24/7 Brighton Local from Metropolitan Avenue on the Myrtle line via that, the connection previously noted to the current Franklin Avenue and then the Brighton Line to Coney Island (replacing the on that part and setting it up the way locals were intended to actually be originally) while the would supplement the "Black (V)" as a Monday-Friday Brighton Local, also to Coney Island.

CDTA Posted April 25, 2012 Share #268 Posted April 25, 2012 Here's one that i'm sure you Junius St riders will enjoy! <L> Departs Canarsie Weekdays at 6:50AM,7:00AM,7:10AM,7:20AM,7:30AM,7:40AM,7:50AM In a nutshell, it goes up the Canarsie Line to Atlantic Ave, where it then goes on the Broadway Express. It then makes local stops after Myrtle Ave. It then goes to West 4th, then to 59th St Columbus Circle via 8th Ave Local. Same applies for opposite direction. Departs 59th St Weekdays at 4:50PM,5:00PM,5:10PM,5:20PM,5:30PM,5:40PM,5:50PM

RaYtHaMaN Posted April 25, 2012 Share #270 Posted April 25, 2012 That would save soo much time and ease congestion. How about the 9 Train reopening and it goes from St. George SI to either Queens Village or the other side of Riverdale into Westchester. Riverdale would be the easiest it would skip 103rd, 145th, 157th, 181st, 191st, 207th, and run local west of the 1 train in Riverdale up to Weschester. Queens Village it would run on the 7th ave. line to 42nd, Broadway all the way into Queens and and passes Jamaica 179th and make a few stops until it reaches just outside Nassau County ?? What ya think ??
Vistausss Posted April 25, 2012 Share #271 Posted April 25, 2012 I think that's a bit too long of a line, should be split. But it isn't gonna work anyways as they will never built a line from SI to NYC.

Fort Hamilton, more direct route. Anyway, do you mind taking screenshots and posting them so those who have Mac's or Linux can see as well? (I have a mac, so I am sad...)
