They are slowing down. Only up to 1067 today, thats  only 24 spots higher than Monday’s Med count. And July class almost full. Idk what’s going on.

Don't worry it's still June. I'm sure they will ramp it up in July for the August class. Maybe they are giving people on medical hold a chance to clear their issues before calling a bunch more in.

Oh well. In the meantime, I am going to go to a doctor and check myself for sleep apnea, high blood pressure, and anything else the medical asks for. At the very least I can have papers/medication that show I have it under control so I don't get put on hold myself.

Either way they’re less than 50 spots from my list number now. Starting in August will at least give me all of July to have summer fun.

anyone who was on medical hold know how far back a doctor note is considered valid?

 

I have a note from around april/may stating I was clear and okay to work. wanted to see if that was too far back.

Thats alright, we will be first called for August class, its only a month. Is there a confirmation for August class? because when i went for PE they said so far theres going to be a june and july class.

I think the reason why they slowing down is because they already filled most of it and there is still 3 weeks left to hire. Also note that they also hiring conductors and bus operators and probably other positions, and probably focusing on hiring more for these other positions.

Damm so I’m number 18** and did my first pre-employment in December, looks like they won’t get back to me for a long time. Was hoping to start this year, fingers still crossed tho hoping something changes!

that a downer to hear, I was there a few weeks back and they mentioned an Aug class, sucks that theyre quiet now.

Just because you didn’t hear anything doesn’t mean the aug class isn’t happening . Vargas has mentioned it repeatedly to me and I’m sure it’s going to happen

im still banking on it as well. just some things are going on at work and I am really hoping I can jump ship as early as possible.

Feel u on that. I'm gonna miss some of my coworkers but man my current job is a drain on my morale. I was not built for office politics. More of a hands on blue collar guy so this is more up my alley.

Wanted to say congrats  to those getting sworn in for July 22.  If you guys are in the gym when I'm taking my final then perhaps I'll drop in and see who your TSS's are and let you know if you're in trouble or not lol

Did my second p/e today. Got on the line outside around 0630. We were allowed in the building around 0700 and I was out by 1030. List number 15**

Vargas again confirmed today there will be an August class. She said she thinks the date is the 19th. And they're not calling anyone more for medicals today--and still at 1067. I asked her if I have a chance at the Aug class with my list number and she said she wasn't sure because she doesn't know how many spots will be open and deferrals and whatnot. But I kinda feel she was just giving me a pr answer and knows this info. 

But I digress. They're under 50 spots away from my list no and if they need 60+ for August--as I've seen here--then Im good for August likely--along with other 1100s.

Acabral, quick question. How long did it take to get the results back after giving back the device for the sleep study? I just gave the device back today and they said it can take up to 2 weeks. Thx

Yea, us 1100s will definitely be getting called for the August class.

Yea that sounds right. U gotta have a followup with the sleep specialist to interpret your results. I think mine was about 10 to 14 days later.
