Next, if you need help getting your Class B Commercial Learner's Permit (CLP), I would encourage you to check out cristcdl.com. Remember, the multiple-choice exams that you need to take and pass, at minimum, are General Knowledge, Air Brakes and Passenger Endorsement. If you would like and/or need more information into obtaining your Commercial Driver's License (CDL), click here.

When you are ready to go to the Department of Motor Vehicles, click here to make a reservation for yourself.

The Proposed Answer Keys for Exams 2611, 2612, 2613, 2614 and 3601 can be viewed on this webpage.

For those of you who wish to restore your name to the list, you must do so by sending an e-mail to certificationunit@dcas.nyc.gov. In your e-mail, state your full name, exam number, list number, the last four of your social security number, and a brief reason why you're restoring your name to the list. You do not have to go into full detail in the e-mail.

Good luck!!

Did They gave you a paper? Medical clearance paper. All you should have done is go with said paper and tell them that you have the clearance of your doctor. No need to wait. That paper is your ticket in. Go go go.

Anyone know what will be the top pay 🤔 how much will be an hour with the new contract ? 🤔

I did day 2 processing today...appt 2pm, finished 7pm...did medical, and HR reviews your new hire form and they give you a start date for training...I will be in this Sunday's class...they also wants me and others (BOs) to return tomorrow for fingerprints and Id pass...they were behind time today to complete everything......I think that the BOs that have 2pm appt today will be with MTA Bus Company including myself! (Sad face)....we signed paperworks for all 3 agencies only to end up at MTA BUS...I guess we just have to work our way up the ladder to TA...

I have Regional Bus Appointment under (ATU-1179) union..and JFK-Service available...I don't know if this is a good thing....can someone please help me to understand?

Thanks in advance!

I figured if you signing the paperwork, you're most likely working with that agency I would ask them This question You took the test for TA Are you still Eligible to be converted to that agency?

JFK is the worse of the depots to end up at. They are on a different pay scale than the other depots. I believe they start at $2 less than others. So please confirm that with them. You are also not able to save your holidays as AVA. Maybe I’ll see you on the Q8. I ride that line.

Oh wow, that sounds discouraging! But hey, only way to get the experience is to know what it's like, right?

The starting pay is $26 for MTA Bus Company.

I also learned today while getting my fingerprints done:

I did two exams last year under 2305....(JVN) Job Vacancy Notice in June, and (TA) NYCT in July...they processed me from the JVN exam to work for MTA Bus Company, and training starts this Sunday. They haven't reached my list number, 12X for TA exam 2613 I took in July.....so happy that confusion was cleared up!...Just going to focus on passing the 10 days training for now with MTA Bus.

Has anyone been called from the eligible list of exam 2613?

So that’s good news. Do the training with mta bus and start working. Your probation time carries over. AVA, is Available Vacation allowance. If you work on a holiday you get paid 8 hours extra or you get to save it as a day off in the future. Yes I’m at TA now. But previously worked for MTA Bus.

edit. Any questions, you can feel free to pm me.

For those of you who are fairly new to the Forums, this can be found on the top right hand of your screen by clicking on the "bubble" icon. If you need help, please do not hesitate to ask, preferably in this section of the website.

Thank you!!

@lornaevo can you tell me if the 10 days training is conservative and how many hours for a day?

Thanks!
