A T/O on the Franklin (S) back in 2003 overshot the platform entering Botanic Garden, northbound. He backed the train into the station and then opened the doors.

Considering the Franklin Shuttle is OPTO, I don't think the guy would call himself into control for overshooting.

Looks like either the platform wasn't long enough for the train or the T/O undershot the platform

The train was going SB so the t/o overshot the platform. I think you mistakend the train for heading in the opposite direction.

Plus when a train overshoots by lets say one door ( and lets say its the first stop ) then no ones really going to care that much

 

The STM in Montreal do it sometimes on their first stop( Mainly Cote-Vertu) but it will take more time to back up then to just leave it like that
