Y2Julio Posted October 8, 2010 Share #1201 Posted October 8, 2010 A T/O on the Franklin back in 2003 overshot the platform entering Botanic Garden, northbound. He backed the train into the station and then opened the doors. Considering the Franklin Shuttle is OPTO, I don't think the guy would call himself into control for overshooting.

I think you mistakend the train for heading in the opposite direction. Edited October 9, 2010 by TrainFanatic
INDman Posted October 9, 2010 Share #1207 Posted October 9, 2010 SEPTA's Market Frankford T/Os always back up their trains if they overshoot the platforms. Meybe it's just an MTA thing to illegalize that. SEPTA is not NYCT, different systems with different rules.
TransitStop Posted October 9, 2010 Share #1208 Posted October 9, 2010 Plus when a train overshoots by lets say one door ( and lets say its the first stop ) then no ones really going to care that much The STM in Montreal do it sometimes on their first stop( Mainly Cote-Vertu) but it will take more time to back up then to just leave it like that

TrainFanatic Posted October 12, 2010 Share #1216 Posted October 12, 2010 Manhattan recieved nothing compared to what Brooklyn recieved. Those balls of hail looked about 2-3" big here in Bklyn.
