Academy service center? Is that the old Daimler service center in Secaucus? I know there was always an Academy depot in that building, they hold the PANYNJ/EWR Orion VIIs, but I guess they took over the Daimler service center too.

Um question, what does OS mean? I presume Out of service?

 

If you look at the table of contents of the roster, you will see the MTA official abbreviation for each facility next to it. I bet 80% of the viewers just go straight to the depots instead of reading the top portion of the roster and studying it for a minute. 70% of the questions I get about that roster are answered in the top portion AND throughout the roster if folks would look at other stuff than just the fleet numbers. *SMH* So much for educating the transit fans... <_<

Can someone please explain wth CH and MA have been doing for the past week? switching buses back and forth.

 

They've been swapping buses back and forth for months. MA has a maintenance rack but IIRC, something like 2 or 3 make-shift bays. So what happens is they send buses down to CH when they have an overflow, HOWEVER, instead of returning the buses directly to MA once the maintenance has completed, what has occurred is a sort of cycle....When MA brings a bus down for maintenance, they take a bus from CH to fill in for service. It's become a loop or rotation of buses if you will. Occasionally, MA will drop a bus by YU or CA and take one from them. But it seems the big cycle is between CH and MA.
