NYSubwayBuff Posted March 29, 2014 Share #11576 Posted March 29, 2014 Anyone think the BM1/3/4 should be in one timetable? No because they run to different locations and ppl would have trouble reading it Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
Orion VII 4 Life Posted March 29, 2014 Share #11577 Posted March 29, 2014 I saw something very rare yesterday. One of JFK's D60's was doing a school tripper on the Q111 towards Jamaica. Of course when it reached Jamaica and went out of service and headed to the Q10. I wonder why it was doing a BP school tripper. They can't do that because of the different unions. Looks like it's a BP bus, getting ready for their artics coming in I guess.

GojiMet86 Posted March 29, 2014 Share #11580 Posted March 29, 2014 Saw something unusual today, two Orion VII Gen-II HLF on the Q69, both heading southbound and both within a block of each other. On a Saturday.
ScreechyFlange Posted March 29, 2014 Share #11581 Posted March 29, 2014 I wish Mabstoa drivers received the same transit pass as TA drivers. I'd live to work for toa but paying to get to work would piss me off. Ah well driving a bus seems boring anyways...
NewFlyer 230 Posted March 29, 2014 Share #11582 Posted March 29, 2014 (edited) The MABSTOA is still around? I thought it was all NYCT routes. I seen the name many times but I always thought it was relating to something from a long time ago or that's what the older drivers still refer to it as. lupojohn Posted March 30, 2014 Share #11586 Posted March 30, 2014 I'd like to know what lines predominantly still use RTS'.
Kingsbridgeviewer382 Posted March 30, 2014 Share #11587 Posted March 30, 2014 I'd like to know what lines predominantly still use RTS'. The ones that DON'T use any RTS' are any Bronx, Staten Island, MHV, OH, BP, ECH, Yonkers, JG, Spring Creek, CP routes. The rest of them still use RTS'.

NewFlyer 230 Posted March 31, 2014 Share #11591 Posted March 31, 2014 They need to bring this back: Technically they did bring that scheme back. The only difference is that the buses are whitebacks. I wonder how our Orion V's would look with the new look. No the ex beeline buses don't count.

We've got those ugly-ass blank white doors on all the new schemed buses. 7692, 4407, and 6687 (soon to be redone) are the only exceptions.

tvega961 Posted March 31, 2014 Share #11596 Posted March 31, 2014 There are C40's on JFK routes as we speak... 514, 550 Q7515, 529 and 538 Q8.
NewFlyer 230 Posted March 31, 2014 Share #11597 Posted March 31, 2014 529 and 538 are CP buses which I believe are not allowed to run on a route from a different union. That is why CP helps LGA out and SC helps JFK.

NewFlyer 230 Posted March 31, 2014 Share #11599 Posted March 31, 2014 Well they are out there...518 is on the Q10 as well. The spring pick is suppose to make the Q10 all articulated buses. IMO I think JFK is pretty similar to Green Lines from before the take over. They don't know how to fix up buses. Tape is not fixing up anything. A lot of the blackback Orion VII's still remain at JFK. They don't touch the decals on those buses unlike LGA which does change it eventually. D60's and RTS still have GH KB, ENY and 126st stickers on them. Their Orion VII NG's sound bad so I'm not surprised they are borrowing SC's buses again. I noticed that some routes like the Q8, Q41, Q37 still have buses that may never show up quite often which I remember I waited 35 minutes for a Q41 to show up on Saturday.
B36 Via Ave U Posted March 31, 2014 Share #11600 Posted March 31, 2014 203 has joined the other C40's on the Q7 so this is because of the D60's being OOS? But as I read that last post ^^^ it all makes sense now
