I’ve been noticing that Manhattanville has been sending their 7500s mostly to the M66 as of late compared to last week when they were everywhere. It’s getting less common to spot any Novas or XDE’s on the route from what I’ve seen.

Might have to do with the 66th Street Transverse.

I don’t think that’s the case. Quill still sends their Novas to the M72 and Manhattanville still sends a XDE or Nova every once in a while (9787 is on the M66 right now). I was just making the observation that the XD’s are mostly kept on the 66 as of late compared to the first week where the XD’s were spread out on other MHV routes.

Did Gun Hill (or whoever operates the B25/26) give back the xcelsiors? I haven’t seen one in Bedford Park in a minute.

Yes they did (As in getting back Xcelsiors). Gun Hill did a small fleet swap with Jamaica Depot. Units are 7484-7506 (26) with their LFS 8331-8355, 8358. Back then, West Farms had a small chunk in service while the rest were CNGs. The artic Xcelsiors were there back then too before moving to Manhattan.

Just a point out, please be safe when you ride the bus. Today, on the B82-SBS, there were eagle team members at Flatlands and Livonia Av. One passenger had a firearm was escorted to the machines but, ended up opened fire at the members outside at the said area. No one was injured at that time. Happened around 6:20 AM.

Jesus! Interestingly, yesterday on the M15 SBS (not at the stop, on the actual bus), there were 3 Eagle Team members, except instead of checking tickets, each one stood at a door and rode the bus for a few stops. I've seen MTAPD, NYSP, and NYPD TD do that in the past at times, but this was the first time the eagle team was providing some sort of security (or at least that's what it looked like they were doing)

The actual location was on Flatlands and Louisiana Avenues on the B82 heading towards Coney Island.

Flatlands Avenue and Livonia Avenue don't intersect at all.

The new class of MTAPD & NYSP once they come out the academy most will be stationed in NYC to provide those additional services. By default NYPD TD bureau is supposed to do this along with eagle team. From some recent observations I've seen NYSP patrolling in Brooklyn and literally spending the whole day throughout the borough. Usually NYSP is patrolling the Belt/Prospect/BQE/Verrazano Narrows Bridge area looking for speeders and E-Z Pass violators.

Any word on when all-door boarding will begin on all routes? It's ridiculous that the MTA paid to have the cubic readers on the back door of every single bus, but they are only used on SBS routes.

It's probably in case a local bus runs on a SBS route.

A lot of folks are punks nowadays. I know back in the day people used to catch fades (which means get beat up in a fist fight) and when it was all said and done they shook hands and went about their business. No one had to get killed, but shoot you tell a dude anything he may find slightly offensive these days and he might make it your last because he is so hard with that gun. There was an officer on Jamaica Ave in Jamaica Queens a few weeks ago who got shot in the leg because the officer was trying to escort a hoodlum off the bus who got into an argument with another guy over a damn seat. Sad world we live in today.

Some of the 2022 LFS have been pulled from service resulting in loans from other depots.

CS has some white and blue LFS’s, Jamaica has some blue and white XD40s from Brooklyn along with some of Quills XD40s and QV has LFS’s from The Bronx.

Interesting, gonna have to see it for myself whenever I get the chance. I did see a massive gap on the Q88 earlier on bustime.

Thankfully I don't have to deal with any of those routes on a daily basis, or else that would just make things bonkers. Unfortunately in my part of the borough there's too many ghost buses, it seems that LGA hasn't properly set up the trackers on the Orion VII NGs they got from other areas (mainly The Bronx).

The ones they got directly from The Bronx are online. In fact, almost all their hybrids have their trackers online on BusTime (Save for 12 units that came from Manhattan and Brooklyn: 4266, 4270, 4355, 4442, 4514, 4531-32, 4571, 4599, 4604, and 4630).

I wonder if those Next Gens (2009-10 units: 3960-4019, 4040-4139, 4170-4278, 4330-4482, 4513-4630) that were retired are removed too early. I'm thinking that some units could've been sent to storage instead of retirement but that's my thought on that. Or that if MTA Bus had a spare, they could send back the ex NYCT units to the said units unless it's fully resolved but then to what I'm thinking, it's too much of a hassle to go back and forth with farebox switching (JFK and LGA units).
