Because it was water main break, so I included bonus. If Water/Sewer Break happened, entire Grand Central area will be affected. MTA Dude Posted November 28, 2014 Share #4553 Posted November 28, 2014 Next: (TRUE STORY!) and trains are running local in both directions in Queens. Due to an NYPD investigation of a sick customer at Elmhurst Avenue, my train was stranded for 30 minutes before passengers were allowed out of the train, and maybe another 20-30 minutes before the NIS train left the station. I'd rather have through service than service in one direction.
P3F Posted November 29, 2014 Share #4554 Posted November 29, 2014 (edited) Building on the what-if a few pages back, the following has happened: The bath has escalated into a defacto pool party and has made the downtown express track unusable at Bleecker Street. The leak to the 6th ave line has been plugged up and the track fixed, so no more issues at Bway Lafayette. A train has stalled in the eastbound track of the Chrystie Street Connection between Bway Lafayette and Essex, affecting trains. train broke down at 50th Street uptown. The Save the 6th Avenue committee is still rioting, so the same conditions are effective. WHICH MEANS: Uptown Local and Downtown Express tracks unusable at Bleecker Street. TheNewYorkElevated Posted November 30, 2014 Share #4562 Posted November 30, 2014 Something more sensible. At the Main Street-Flushing station, someone has changed the signs on an R62A, and changed it to a Flushing (11) sign. Luckily, two NYPD officers were present, and was arrested on the spot. But now, the station is closed for investigation. Reroute/suspension away. Extra credit for bus service (or use of shuttle buses).

NEXT: There is a stalled train at the abandoned Myrtle Av Station, the train can no longer move due to debris on the tracks. How would you evacuate people to safety? You either move people to the back 5 cars, split the train, and back up the half back to DeKalb, or just get a rescue train. trains will be suspended at the time and northbound trains run via Whitehall.
